Seeing it looks later in the season and if its in Wi I would say that he is fairly young. 3.5. Belly is tight and back is really straight. No noticeable waddle in chest but shoulders are starting to bulk. Could be 3 so would say 3to 4. Nice buck and should be a stud this year if he gets what he needs.
Got last two plots done in Virginia this weekend. Rye, Oats, turnips, winter pea, and clover. Getting rain now so stuff should be popping by first Saturday of October
Opening weekend here in Minnesota. Unfortunately I've got 2 weddings... 1 on Friday and another on Saturday. Sunday will be the first time in the woods!
Just booked the campsite for myself and dad, 7 minutes from the farm we will be hunting, can't wait for Friday!!! Hopefully get splitbrow and put some big points up for the team!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hanging my stand this weekend in an oak flat. I'm so pumped for the season that I might just sit in it with no bow just to see what to expect during the season! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Sorry I haven't been posting much. My season doesn't open until October 1st and because I hunt small tracks surrounded by ag fields I normally won't go hunting until the second week. Currently I plan on going out October 14th. I did just get new flat nocks for my arrows. The half moon nocks I had were causing some issues. I'm shooting a recurve crossbow this year with iron sights. I'm forced to hunt with a crossbow due to shoulder surgery so I wanted to keep it as little like gun hunting as I could. I respect all hunters and IMO there is nothing wrong with hunting with a 10x scope on your 200lb crossbow. Do it if you want! I went the route I did for personal reasons. The deer will have to be 30 yards or closer for me to shoot, without the help of lighted pins, low light conditions will be a real issue this year. I'm hoping for the best and praying for all of you this year. Stay safe and hunt hard. I'll check back soon.
Opening weekend this weekend here in WI. The camera card pull this evening will determine whether or not I hunt. Generally speaking, our property isn't the greatest for early season. I'm heading to northern WI for one last muskie rendezvous on Thursday and Friday. Coming home Saturday afternoon so I may hunt the evening, but it is also youth duck weekend so probably going to end up taking my son out for that Saturday night and Sunday morning instead. Probably sit a weeknight or two next week to try and score a doe for the team as well. Seems like most of us can't hunt yet. I know the contest is just for fun, but it's going to be an uphill battle with I think it was team 15 putting down a 173" and a 186" already. Shoot our doe and hopefully a few of us can connect on some bucks and let the chips fall where they may!
Aaron, Im in the same boat. The fields I hunt in NC are full of little dinks. Dont want to risk blowing them out so been resisting the urge to go.
Looks great!!! It's gonna be high 70s-low 80s in NJ this weekend, wish it would be like last weekend Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Still waiting on the 30th Gonna go hang a stand here in a couple minutes though! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums

Get that 50doe that comes by, it's early in the season always a good start to get some meat in the freezer Sent from my iPad using Bowhunting.com Forums
Well, the weather being in the mid 80s yesterday and not all that much better today made the decision easy to wait a bit for bowhunting. My son bagged his first ducks on the youth duck hunt and I boated some muskies instead. Might get out a night this week if the weather cools a bit.
First sir of the season last night. 0 deer. Not many on cam either. Need to get a stand hung on the north side of the property. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
