I don't get to that part of the state too much, but I imagine it has to be decent hunting terrain and habitat over that way.
Anyone else getting out this weekend? I'm chomping at the bit about to go hang a stand here in PA now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm letting the WI property sit until October even though it opens before that. I want to put the least amount of pressure as possible. IL season doesn't open until October 1st.
Its gonna kill me but I'm going to refrain from hunting opening day this year. The property I hunt is small and and trying to wait for optimal conditions so I don't burn it too soon. I have a cell cam there too so that helps to determine when is optimal. Worst case I wait till Oct/Nov
Best guess is 4.5. His back isn't swayed but he has a bit of a belly, neck meets his brisket which gives the appearance of short front legs. It's possible he's 3.5 in the photo but I'm guessing 4.5.
I would say he is 3.5 in that picture and roughly scores around the mid 130s. He will be a dandy if he made it through! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
10 more hours till shooting light!!! Hoping to get 50 points on the board for bowhunt or cry!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm going to say it's a 4.5 year old buck. 21" beams. 9" G2s, 9" G3s, 7" G4s, 3" brows, average mass measurement of 4" so 16 per side. 17" wide. 21+9+9+7+3+16 = 65"+65"+17" spread (best guess from side view) = 147" Really nice buck.
50 points for us, got a doe down tonight!!! Was a lot smaller than I thought she was but now I can shoot a buck in NJ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
On the board! Congrats and nice work. I wouldn't be too picky on the size of the doe if it meant I had a buck tag as a result. Awesome!
Congrats on the doe!!! Back in Minnesota and ready for season to start next weekend! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Doing a bit of low light/no range finder practice in the back yard. I'd say we're looking pretty good! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
