I don't know the kansas zones, but i have family in Salina. Decent land in that area is way cheaper than in my neck of the woods near Omaha
I appear to finally have my first hunt scheduled Friday the 23rd, as long as my work approves the day off. i have no reason to expect that they would and Ill get my first hunt in

current forecast for my first hunt of the year next Friday is... high mid 50's with north wind low mid upper 30's eith ene wind Im good with this. Still waiting for deer to shift their clock a little. not many shooting hour pictures.

Same here, small bucks during the day. Big at night still... nothing steady during the day. I have a small bear that is hanging close to corner of my house properly. He been batting around my cam pretty good. I have feeling he will force me to decide soon.
Hope you guys don't mind me dropping this here. Also, getting ready to head to the stand in a few minutes. I sat last night for an hour. Bumped some that were already there by my stand. Ended up having two does and a spike come in before dark. Hopefully will see a good one this morning.

Thank you thank you. That's the whole Intent is the double meaning of the channel name. Drawing nearer with the bow and drawing nearer to God. Mainly based off of the James 4 passage and the drawing near with a pure conscience passage but also the old hymnals. By the way, had an absolute shooter at fifty yards. He was trailing five does that came over to my side but he wouldn't make the jump. Finally he turned around and left and all the other deer followed him. What a boss!!
im getting pretty pumped for my first sit next Friday, have a list of things i need to get an get done i have 2 stands that dont have lifelines or tree straps so ill have to get one or the other. i have some old practice magnus stingers that i got replacement blades i need to swap out, lots of little things
Pulled the card after the hunt and I got the buck I saw on camera. If I would have hunted Thursday morning I would have had a shot at him or this other buck. Got another nice one on camera as well
The first two pictures are the same deer my thoughts are that the first deer is probably 4 and the second deer is at least 5. I could be totally off. I'd like to hear someone else's thoughts on their age from the pictures.
