I will take a second to introduce myself, my name is Josh and I am hunting out of PA. I am 21 years old and I am hoping to get my first public land buck this year! I caught a glimpse of a bachelor group with two 8 pointers, a tall four point and a nice 12 pointer on my state game lands a few weeks ago, which is a rarer sighting than Bigfoot in my area. I am hoping I can figure the big one out pretty early in the season, a buck like that doesn't get old by sticking around on public land for too long. But I will happily take any of them! No pictures as I am down to one camera and don't feel like losing it this year. Good Luck to everyone this year!
Mathewsmq1 signing in from WI. Let me introduce myself. My name is Caleb and I'm 13yrs old. This is my first year doing the deer contest and my first year bowhunting. I have permission to hunt on a chunk of private land that nobody else hunts except for the owner. Hopefully I can get my first deer with a bow! Good luck everyone! Short69 checking in. been a busy spring/summer. Haven't set foot in the woods since we left the last day of last season. Plenty of deer out there i'm sure.
Mornin' everyone, I'll keep this short for now, trying to catch up at work after being away for 3 days. My name is Carter. I live in west central Missouri with my wife and 2 boys. If no one is familiar with the area, we are in the KC Metro area. I only bow hunt anymore, and mostly hunt urban areas. I do hunt on our farm just outside of the metro area as well. I'm not at all afraid to eat tag soup, so with that said I'll only shoot what "my" definition of a wall hanger is and shoot does. I totally believe a trophy is a personal choice. If the person is excited about what they killed then I'm just as happy for them. I've been part of 3 different teams since I became a part of bowhunting.com. It is lots of fun, IMO. There is no pressure to kill anything, so don't do something out of what is normal to you at all. Enjoy it and have a good time doing it. If you don't enjoy it, it isn't worth doing. My wife hunts and we just bought our oldest, 9 a bow. He is getting better and better at shooting. He is already asking which deer he can kill. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask. Good Luck to everyone this season!!
Introduction. My name is Desmond and I live and hunt in Florida. This will be my 3rd year participating in the contest. I have really enjoyed being part of this contest, talking with forum members and just having fun talking about hunting. I was on the same team last year as Short69 and remember he entered a nice buck in the competition. I have a daughter that is now 11 but has been hunting with me since she was 7. She killed her first deer with a rifle at 8 and killed her first deer with a cross bow last year at 10. She is my hunting partner and I spend as much time or more trying to get her a deer as I do for myself. I mostly hunt on two pieces of property both really close to my house. I hunt a 1,000 acre lease that backs up to one side of my subdivision and hunt a 5 acre lot that backs up to the other side of my subdivision. My lease has had a 4 point on one side rule for the past 5 years and it has really paid off. We are seeing some really good bucks now. On my 5 acre track I shoot mostly does but I did shoot a buck off this property last year, it is a honey hole. I have all my food plots planted and cameras hung. I am getting some nice pictures of bucks some I passed up last year and some that were on my hit list but never got a chance from the stand. My deer season starts September 16th. I am going to Colorado this year for an archery elk hunt first week in September. This will be my first hunt out west and my first elk hunt. Good luck to everyone this season, I hope you are as excited for the season to start as I am.
I am going to go ahead and throw a nomination in for Foodplot19 for team captain as he started the team page and looking at post count looks to be the most active on the forum.

Good luck on your elk hunt. I am heading out there mid month. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Good Luck on the Elk hunt. I've been wanting to go out west to hunt elk or mule deer. I'm hoping that it works out in the next few years. Sounds like you have some really good spots to hunt!! I'm just as excited as you are to start the season!!
I don't mind being the Captain of the team. I'm more that willing to let someone that hasn't done it before, to try it out. The only reason I'm active is, I talk too much..............
Foodplot for team captain?! Come on guys, get serious, you'll never win at this rate. His hitlist probably consists of a puny doe and a spike, maybe a cat and a yote, rofl.
