So short bio on me. Spent most of my time living in Ohio, little over a month moved back to western NC. Didn’t hunt last year, made a promise to my wife worst idea ever. So needless to say today I’m stoked to be back at it again. Hoping to fill 3 buck tags this season ( have some catching up to do)and get my son his first. I’ve done several seasons on this forum before and betting the rules haven’t changed.

Hurricane rain is pretty much over, gonna go try and catch a deer, we shall see what happens.

 

Here in SE Pa, we're still getting damp, drizzly weather. I'll be back at it next week though.

 

All setup, you can it’s day one, forgot hat and umbrella in truck. I’m as close to the biggest acorn tree and crossing point before the wind goes out of favor. Already seen two doe and a small buck. Fingers crossed one of the two big ones come to get some acorns.

 

Well we live in Hendersonville NC and lost our apartment to flood. I never made it to Ohio .

Had to go all the way to Kentucky for a hotel with a vacancy. Slept in car two nights and wasn’t able to find a place to get gas till 11a yesterday. 26 is closed all over nc and Tennessee so had to navigate a lot of back roads to get out. First 24 hours we were literally trapped in Hendersonville with flooded roads and downed trees

Any kind of flooding absolutely sucks, at least everyone is safe

 

Haven't gotten my target buck on cam in two weeks now. Must be the October lull starting to kick in.
