Good news, so after looking on OnX the spot I need to move my set is still on the property. I will set up tomorrow evening there and hopefully they do the same thing. It’s only going to be a 30 yard shift but should be right in the sweet spot. That pinch point funnels them just like I thought. just wish I could of know exactly what 3 bucks moved threw there yesterday Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Looks like he's going under and off camber fence somewhere based on the missing fur. Seems like Mid day is the time right now, mornings have been slow, evenings it's little bucks. But when I walked out around 3p, I was bumping deer.
sure you guys are sick of hearing about this but... I have a phone interview today with a different company for a job with a salary right at where I was when I was let go in the summer. If this works out I could actually plan a couple weeks off between my current gig and this hopefully new one and get a lot of stand time in. I for sure want 2 deer this year, which isn't always my goal. If you're a praying man, I'd take them. This getting laid off thing sucks, lucky to find what I have but I'm WAY behind based on where I was financially and we're getting through but something better would be such a blessing. I will say I am blessed to have found what I have right now, it pays me, my kids are still in their activities, I keep my house, but its a drastic difference and the stress as a husband and father when reviewing budget and stuff is dragging on me especially with Christmas and several birthdays coming up.
and on the less down side of life I used a really bad AI system to create this picture. I use a system called MIRO for some process mapping and it has just the worst AI generated but the pictures will crack you up.
I’ll be out this evening. Moving that set 30 yards over where I can see and shoot all that traffic the other night. Hoping for the same activity. E wind is not the most desirable but if I set up just right it will work. If I sit high enough scent will blow over trail into crop field but if I go to high might restrict shooting opp in ravine Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Bought my WMA permit, going to hunt the Cedar Hill Swamp this afternoon, try a scenery change. Anything brown is getting stuck, minus tiny bucks, but all doe are on the table.
Same here even though I’m hunting a certain buck I’m sticking any doe that presents a shot Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Me too with a certain buck, but I'm letting does walk. Deer numbers are waaay down in my woods, so me killing a doe is killing my buck bait. I'll be doing my first morning hunt tomorrow. With the full moon phase going on and as bright as it'll be going in, I'll feel like I'm in Macy's front window.
Nothing yet, I think I’m in a decent spot, this place is flat and open, no real funnels etc. have about 2hrs left, hopefully they’re moving through here
I had bought an additional stand last year and we never put it up, we'll father in law put it up yesterday then moved one of my cell cameras over by it.
