Yesterday afternoon went to a different stand to shoot a doe. No does showed up but saw four different small bucks. Checked a camera there and finally got a picture of a buck I think is older than 2 1/2. We had a severe winter here with record snowfall and late spring. Was some winter kill, seems like fewer older bucks around than other years.
I can't believe all the does down in the contest. Only 1 buck seems weird. We need to put a buck down. I'm trying my hardest, but have yet to see a shooter. Won't be long. I will find one Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
I thought the same thing. Surprised more bucks haven't been entered. I'm hoping to get a shot at one of my shooters this weekend.

Yesterday afternoon finally had a west wind to hunt my one food plot. About a dozen deer showed up, five of them being small bucks. They put on a good show sparring and working my mock scrape in front of my blind. Two bucks were sparring and this little spike buck came in all bristled up and he let out a snort wheeze. Most aggressive I've ever seen a young buck act. My brother was up hunting and he went to a part of the farm where I put my bones and scraps from my doe to hunt coyotes at. He saw a coyote there when he came out of the woods. Decided to hunt coyotes this morning. One less and need about 1/2 dozen more gone.
Change of plans, gonna go out this evening after work. Was suppose to rain but it changed and the fiance said go! Probably won't get into the stand until 5:30 but should be able to slip in without bumping any deer.

So I haven't ran a camera in a couple years. 2 days ago I decided to just put one up in my yard. First night got 1 deer come in. It was a decent 8 pt. Kind of surprised me. Who all is going out this weekend? Holt I know you said tomorrow maybe? I'll be back out Saturday morning depending on the weather. Tomorrow its suppose to rain all day. Have a feeling someone on our team is going to put a buck down in the next 7 days.
