I really hope there is but the farmer isn't a big hunter so I know how it goes sometimes. lol people say they saw a giant and its really just a 100 inch eight point. lol He said he for sure seen one tho, I asked him probably 3 different times yesterday during our conversation.
Anyone been out or going out this weekend? I'm going to check the cameras on the new property I got this weekend. Usually don't check them this soon but its so close to season and want to see whats out there.
I've not made it out, too warm and decided just to get some work done. Plus Monday night had jv football game my twin grandsons play on. Might have to start going to Fri. night varsity games they have a great team this year, usually 40-0 at half time where my freshmen grandsons get in to play the second half. Suppose to cool down this weekend, I'll be out then.
I haven't been out. Had a family emergency the last few days to take care of. Everything is OK as of now and I'm back home now. Hope to get back to hunting in a day or 2. Hope all is well. It cooled off here then its been hot for a couple days then suppose to cool off again. Little less than 2 weeks I'll be in the stand!
My maybe shooter 9 point has been super regular the past few days. He's on the same cam around 8 and 5 every day. Keep it up big boy...

I have a doctors appointment in the morning and trying to decide if I should go to work or hunt. They are calling for rain all weekend, so might not get much hunting in. So Friday afternoon went out and saw 4 deer. Two does with a fawn each. Shot right over the top of the lead doe. Just couldn’t get myself settled. Slept in on Saturday and headed back out for the afternoon. This doe circled the stand once and gave a quartering away shot. Hit back and high but because of the angle of the shot I was able to hit some vitals. We tracked for a while and reviewed video. Decided to back out and give her some more time, which was the right move. Ended up finding blood again and found her piled up not too far from where we quit tracking the first time.
