So sorry for you and your family. I just did the same a week ago with my oldest lab. I feel your pain. Thankfully the memories live on in our hearts. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
You guys remember that girl I was hunting with? She stopped talking to me for about 2 1/2- 3 months and I just got a random email from her saying Merry Christmas. As my bear hunting mentor always says bears are like girls, Once you think you have them figured out, they change thier pattern. Exept I'm using it vice versa.
I'm so not ready to go to Tulsa and stay up all night with the youth group from church. I've never been much of a social stay up all night crazy kind of teen, so it's going to be a lot different from being out in the woods enjoying nature lol
I was able to get a 50lb bag of corn $6. Now I've gotta go to church and then I'll be headed out to put some corn infront of my camera.
Well my season is officially over. Been hunting in TN this week and it has been freezing. Saw some deer, but nothing in range for me to shoot. Sorry I didn't contribute any for our team, but I had a great time and enjoyed keeping up with everyone's season. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
That's hunting. We've all given it our all this season. I've got 15 days before end of my season, but I doubt I'll be hunting.
I setup my trail cam on a rub line and put some corn infront of my trail cam. By the time next season rolls around I should be in shape for hunting season from carrying 50lbs of corn into the woods.
Happy New Year! I've really enjoyed being part if this team! Sent from my SM-N900V using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Thanks everyone for the fun. Sorry I didn’t put some points up for us. I just finished moving to South Dakota and am done until next season. Happy new year. Anybody gets anywhere near Pierre look me up. 701-770-8075. Make it around hunting season and there could be an opportunity to really have some fun Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Man this team was a lot of fun, glad I got put on a team with this group. I hunted hard this past week but just never saw a shooter buck, lots of does and a couple small young bucks. I had several sits in the cold rain and now have a cold just in time to go back to work feeling like crap after a week off and a bunch of catching up to do. My season is not over yet, I still have about a month of hunting I can do. I know it wont count for team points but if I get a buck I will post up on our group page. Happy New Year and good luck in 2018.
Caleb, I wouldn’t be a good source for info regarding food plots honestly. The place I’ve hunted the last few seasons has alfalfa or wheat planted by the farmer so I don’t have to worry about planting anything. I do like to throw a bag or two of corn down in front of my cameras, it’s a good way to take inventory of the deer in the area and perfectly legal. That’s cool that you’ve got pics of deer already at the new place. You’ll have all off season to figure them out and put a plan together for next season.
