Yep very wet, thick, swampy and full of snakes and mosquitoes. All my stands are next to a swamp. Too bad about the miss on the doe Mudlake, you will get her next time.
Where at in FL? I'm headed down to Ocala right now for our last job of the year. Although I will admit, there is Nothing for me to really do down here except some paperwork, so it is more of a vacation Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums

Cool, I'd love to shoot a hog down here. But I left my bow and rifle. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Just went into the corn field next to our house where I've seen 100+ geese out there every day and took a bunch of pictures of them! I'll try to post some pics later. I talked to my friend and he's going to talk to the guy that owns the corn field and see if we can get permission to hunt it!
I will get the morning in a stand tomorrow. One tag left. Going to do my best to not have more soup! Season runs until Jan 7 here. I was tagged out on 4 at this time last year. Just love how it goes keep me humble. Good luck everyone. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Saw eight does. No bucks. Wind is around fifty mph now. Be back at it Sunday. Good luck everyone. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Looking through all my pic's and putting things in order. Ran across this and thought I would share, what a big difference 2 year's made.
I wish everyone had patience like that. I've seen it happen with the buck I shot 4 years ago. It's amazing what a year or 2 can do.
But that's not always the case...I thought this buck was a 2 year old, possibly 3 when he first appeared. I have no clue now and it's kind of a downer. 2014, 2015 and 2016.
It's weird how they are. I've learned to error on the side of letting them go. I may not be the best way. I try to make the best decision based on the pictures I have and the live encounters. Sent from my SM-N900V using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I went on my first coyote/fox/coon hunt last night! Yesterday night me and my friend were out small game hunting on some public land, as it started to get darker we decided to do some coyote calling, we didn't see or hear a thing, so I decided to call a landowner that let me turkey hunt on her land and asked if me and my friends could go out there and coyote hunt, so we went to pick up my other friend and headed out, we got out of the truck and I could hear my old friend coywolf, so we ran out of the woods and hit the dirt in the bean field, I called a bit with my coyote diaphragm but didn't hear anything, we decided to get up and head to our original spot we were headed to, all we heard were abunch of geese in the pond about 500 yards away, we left after about 1 1/2 hours of hunting because my friends weren't dressed to be in the cold. It turned out my friend knows the land owner pretty well and he asked if we could goose hunt out there and she said we could duck hunt out there. Unfortanatly tomorrow will be my last deer hunt in Wisconsin for a very very very long time.
Early Christmas present from my grandfather, I haven't counted how much .22lr it is but it's a huge amount! Also got a rattle bag, grunt tube and a mostly clean butt out tool Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Just went and looked and it looks like I'll be able to be doing real hunting on March 9th 2018! Just in time for Oklahoma's turkey season!
Had a real good hunt this evening. Had a little basket rack come in. Shortly after that 5 does came out in the cut beans. The does were real interested in something, turns out it was a big 8, probably 140 class. He was able to get within 35 yds, but I let him go. Too much potential at this place.
