I would have hunted every day of all seasons for that deer. Damn....That is one beautiful animal. I would also have had a full body mount if I had to mortgage my vital organs to do it.

    Good Luck this morning guys.
Wife had a Dr. appt, so I'm home with the boys. I'm going out with our oldest one this afternoon to join the orange army.

I'm back out in the stand this morning! Haven't seen any deer yet but I'm pretty confident I'll have a buck in range if he goes out into the corn field because I dragged some scent all the way along the little tree Line that splits the corn field and the hay field. Good luck to whoever is out this morning!

Great morning! Had 4 bucks come by my stand, just no shooters. Watched the biggest of the 4 bucks make a scrape about 40yds away which was cool. They are cruising but I haven't seen any chasing yet on this property. Rattled some this morning and threw some grunts at one of the bucks but he could've cared less...

I hope so FP... I don't care how old he is, if I get another shot, he's taking a dirt nap!

I ended up seeing 2 deer in the wheat field behind me but I have no idea where they went. I called the guy that owns 280 acres where I think 2 face is hiding and I'm waiting for a call back! I'm really hoping he'll let me hunt that land!

Yep, I have not seen him from the stand, nor any shooter bucks. I sat Friday and Saturday morninga, it was the first frost of the year for us. Saw a doe and spike Friday morning and 2 small bucks and 3 does Saturday morning. I'll hunt Friday morning in and saturday and Tuesday, then I'm off to Florida for Thanksgiving. I will hunt down there as well.

My 60 day drying period has passed and I had Captain Hooks officially scored for Boone and Crockett and Pope and Young. He netted 168 1/8" so he will make both books but missed all time awards by 1 7/8". I am so happy just have had this deer on our family farm to hunt much less to harvest him.
