Still haven't seen any deer, but that could change in 5seconds. My mentor said that the bucks normally check scrapes from 10-2. What time do you guys think bucks are checking scrapes? I'll have to look at some of the brands. I have about $300 saved up and my dad says I should go buy some good hunting clothes with it. But I'll probably save about $100 so I can start saving up for a old beater truck.
Keep an eye out for upcoming deals on gear. Coming into the time of year for deals. Get that buck! Good luck. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Heck no. Don't get down and do silly things like that. You do that in the evening when you aren't dressing deer.
I'm not going home yet! The only decent thing I packed for Lunch is a huge snickers bar lol. How much longer do you think I should sit?
I might go home for like 30 minutes to warm up because my toes and fingers feel like there going to fall off. And it depends on if it starts raining/snowing
Been there done that! I was one of those guys that the colder it was the more pairs of socks I would wear and it never helped. Finally figured out that less is more, especially when walking to the stand. Too many layers and a long walk in=sweat, sweat=freezing cold & unwanted scent... Heck I've walked the stand many times in a t-shirt and took my layers with me to put on when I got settled in.
I'm stuck at home because I have to watch my sisters because my parents are dropping some clothes off at a church. I came home to eat real quick and am stuck at home. Just my luck I guess.
To bad your not in your stand with that weather coming and bucks chasing I would give up a weeks pay to be able to hunt this week. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I'm headed out but I forgot my harness. Thankfully the land is only 8 minutes away from my house! Just went inside and it turns out I left my release too.
