Opening day here in Wisconsin and I'll be working. I will be in a tree tomorrow and again on Wednesday. Hopefully we will be adding the scorecard again shortly! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I went out hunting early this morning. around 6:30am me and my Mom saw a good doe but she was acting very nervous and trotted off, then around 6:45am a nice 7 point came out and got about 10-15 yards away and spooked out to 40 yards, I dropped my 40 pin on him but there was a branch right above my pin and I did'nt want to wound him and it was 80 degrees at the time and did'nt want to lose the meat so I let down and he ran off. My friend shot a doe this morning about 1 mile away from us on the same property we were hunting on! It was a pretty eventful morning but super hot. I might go out to the same property either tonight or tomorrow morning. I can't deer hunt tomorrow afternoon because I'm going chukar hunting with another friend. Hopefully I will get another chance.
Got Captain Hooks scored by my local pope and young measure this morning. Still an awesome buck! Elite 35 80# Easton FMJ's CBE Tek Hybrid Pro Dead Ringer Freak Extreme
Bravo sir, bravo . Indeed that buck is truly awesome, no matter what the score. No one can take that away from that deer.
Nice job doing your due diligence Nick! Still, that is a true once in a lifetime buck man!! Awesome! You and Kyle are setting pretty to join to 200 point club if you both get a doe! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
You guys are getting me fired up for opening day! 2 more weeks and it's on here in OK. I did finally get a couple of trail cams out yesterday so in another week or so I'll have a good idea of what kind of deer I'll be going after this season. I'm a little late to the game but I've hunted this property for the last 3 years so hopefully the deer are frequenting the same places they usually do. Good luck to you Wisconsin guys now that your season has kicked off! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Good Luck! we'll be moving to NE Oklahoma as soon as we can get our house sold! How Is the deer hunting down there?
