Okay, So were all checked in and if everyone is okay with the team name being "tagout and dragout" with my as captain, I'll get it submitted this evening with Chief. I've gotta go work in the woods, clearing some shooting lanes and getting a blind spot ready to go. Here are a couple of bucks I'll be looking for once season starts. These are right behind my house.

2 days and I will be hunting! Going back to some familiar public land for opening day. I finished last season hunting there and there was still a good buck in the area, but never did get eyes on him. It's nice to see a few traditional guys in the group. A couple years ago I had to switch to using my Recurve exclusive because my compound blew up... Haven't looked back since.
I would love to go straight trad, but I'm not confident on getting the deer I need to fill the freezer. I try for 4-5 deer a year to feed the family. We rarely eat beef anymore and just rely on deer meat. The wife said we need to fill the freezer full this year, so the pressure is on! Haha
The Heat doesn't bother me much. I usually working in it anyway and just use to it. I have shot many of my biggest bucks in 90 degrees plus days. Here is a video of opening day in 2016. It was around 95 degrees that day and I had changed my shirt once all ready.

I grew up my whole life wanting a deer like that. But knew it was probably impossible. Then bam! Right time and right property, just never know and can happen anywhere. In the last 30 years of hunting I can count on 1 hand bucks over 150". Its really rare to finding a deer like that in my area.
So don't know if anyone has any skills in making a avatar or not? I was messing around this evening and made one. If anyone else wants to try one also.
