That's what I was thinking. Man, if you wanna grab some dove loads in steel shot and meet up this December when the Winter dove season is going, They are thick in the Vian Refuge! I don't think the crops will be out in time for this first season but December is where it's at! Only downside is the steelshot.
Yeah thats normally what we do but everyone took off this year so we're gonna start on thrusday... Buddy owns a private field so that's where we'll go the first couple of days.
Hey gents, my name is Andy. Been on here for several years. I recognize most of you guys but don't believe I've had the pleasure of being team mates with any of you until now. Looks like we have a heck of a team and I have to say that its pretty cool to have a couple fellow Okie's on the squad! I have a 160 acre private tract that I've hunted since 2014. I've taken several nice deer off of the property and a couple of wall hangers. A 155" 11pt in 2015 & 141" 12pt in 2020. I plan to get a couple cell cams out next week to get an idea of what I'll be chasing this fall. Looking forward to getting to know you all!
Welcome Andy! Nice to finally be on a team together. This team is shaping up pretty good with a lot of regulars on the score card.
I was born and raised in Mansfield. Live in next county over now (Ashland) but still hunt Mansfield (Richland county)
In the interest of full disclosure, I am one of those evil devil-worshipping crossbow shooters. I am 67 so y'all have to cut me some slack on that subject. Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
Whatever gets you in the woods. When the time comes that I can’t shoot y compound anymore I’ll be getting one as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hey no judging here. If its legal then no one has a right to say anything. I got many friends/hunting buddies that use them. Like any weapon they got there pros and cons.
My team last year had two guys shoot bucks and not take pics to enter them. Make matters worse they were both 130 or so. Even worse it would have put us in first by 70 or so points. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hey guys! Illinibowhunter checking in here. I'm sorry I am late to the game for checking in on our team. My name is Justin and I am from Central Illinois. I'm 37 and have two jobs. I work at an electrical cooperative and I'm an EMT. I am married to my beautiful wife and have three kids. My son Trapper and two girls; Beau and Banks. I have participated in this contest for I believe 10+ years and love doing it. I am an avid bowhunter and have been doing it for over 20 years now. I'm definitely behind on getting cameras out to see what's running around. I started running tactacams last year and have fallen in love with them. I'm blessed to have quite a few properties to hunt and I try to hunt where the action is. I'm usually good for a buck and a doe in the contest but I'm just thankful for each quiet relaxing sit I have in the woods. I do film all my hunts and enjoy sticking them on YouTube channel so my friends and family can watch them. It's really fun to revisit hunts and from 2017 to present they're all on there. Look forward to getting to know you all! Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
I was fortunate to kill a decent buck and doe in the same sit last year. Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
That looked like a pretty action packed evening in the stand. Welcome aboard! Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
Crossbow or not jim is a great teammate, enjoy and have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! kill whatever you want, and with whatever legal weapon you use
I remember that, that's just bad. We had something similar. One guy shot a doe and only took one pic. Then was never heard from again. You guys should have had the win last year. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Great video and welcome to the team. I'm jealous of you midwest guys. We just don't see the numbers here like I do when I go to Kansas and Missouri.
Yeah it stinks. Worse part is not showing back up to explain yourself. I guess we'll just have to win this year to make up for our two teams last year lol
