Come on guys, we are not far off with this. If we can get a couple good bucks and a couple more does, we will looking pretty good. I have 2 1/2 months of season left and I hunt all of it. It gets really hard for me to get a good buck from this point on, but I won't stop trying to the end. I've killed bucks in every month of the season, so I always have a chance. No I'm just kidding, BUCK DOWN FELLAS! First let me just say congrats to okies buck, that things a stud brother! and second sorry for being so absent lately... ended up moving into my new house, while training my pup hard to get him on birds, getting as much tree time as possible and then lost my grandfather. Been a hectic month to say the least.. but right when all the dust started to settle I ended up pulling a shot on a buck and hit him far back, gave him the night and went back in the next morning and ended up kicking him up and watching him walk off and bed back down. Gave him more time and went to work and snuck out early and was able to find him in the bed. never happy about putting a poor shot on a deer but happy to have found him and nothing will go to waste. He aint big but for MA hes a goodern!

Been a tough season. Ive been hiking about 3+ miles a day to try and find food/sign. zero acorns fell this year and limited to no ag fields in MA making the deer not patternable as a result of them roaming for browse. Scrapes just started popping up and then the action started getting good with this guy coming right into one. Happy to put a tag on him!

Congrats on the buck! Rifle season opens here Saturday and the orange army tends to push a lot of deer towards the safety of the golf course so things should pick up here shortly. Only rut related activity I’ve seen so far is a little spike walking around by himself grunting. It has been incredibly hot here the past week; highs in the 80’s. Hoping that things will pick up when the big cold front comes through this weekend.

Had a good buck come in this morning 130 range. An I freakin missed. I haven’t missed a deer in years and misjudged the yardage. Shot right under him. Back out this evening. My buddy a few fingers over just stuck and big one so they’re moving. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
