So the big split brow buck came back the other night. I hunted him and the big 8 this evening in a different spot. I would shoot either of them! Just need this wind to cooperate a little bit. None of my spots are set up for a northern wind.
That's exactly what I called him when I seen he was blind lol. You haven't named the big 8 yet... what you calling him?
Thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. That’s tough to lose a parent but it sounds like you and your dad got to make a lot of good memories together and nothing can take that away.
Hey guys, sorry I’ve been so absent on the thread. Been really occupied with other things. I’ve got both boys playing football (13 & 9) and I coach my 9yr olds travel baseball team. We are playing tournaments most weekends but come November both football and baseball season is over and I will be able to focus more of my time on putting a deer or two down and helping the team. I’m going to try to sneak away from work early today and jump in the ground blind for an evening sit with these cooler temps.
Haha, awesome. I will have to think on that. It won't matter, watch your going to shoot old one eye! Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
These temps coming in are going to have them on their feet. I went ahead and took wednesday off. I'm heading to public that morning. Should have them at least up and moving.
That big buck is coming into my corn on the yellow line. He’s hanging up in the small cedar thicket until dark then coming on in. I’m taking my sticks and saddle and setting up near the red X this evening. Hopefully I can get him before he gets there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm going to set up on him tomorrow evening... The wind is wrong today so I'm just gonna hang out at the house. Don't wanna blow it!
This guy has been a frequent visitor and was here last night. There are two bucks bigger and more mature than him in here but I may have a hard time passing him if he shows up.
If he walked by my stand I’d let the air out of him without hesitation. He would make a nice addition to the wall and to the freezer.
