I'm all over the map. I usually kill one 2 1/2 year and one 5 year old a year lol. Last year on public in OK I killed a 2 1/2 year old then went to kansas public and killed a 6 year old. If it's gets my blood pumping it gets shot.

Took my boy to the archery shop today to get his Bow paper tuned. He’s shooting great now. Hopefully he can get his first archery deer this year.

I try to hold out for one of my target bucks BUT if something comes in and gives me some awesome memories then it’ll probably get shot lol.

Got another one to add to my target list. I'm not sure how much I'll hunt the lease with bucks like this showing up at my house. He's forked on both brows. 0913.1203.JPG

Well since I have limited options to hunt, and where I hunt. I'm looking a big doe and a decent buck. We have a 4 point or better restriction.
And it will depend if our neighbors are out hunting around us. We can pass up a nice 6,7 or 8 point and they will shoot any and everything they see.
It's depressing. I've watched doe's and fawns walk by. An when the get to the neighbors field it like a war zone. They say if it'd brown it's down!. well half the time it's not down! It will drag it's self off into the woods and they don't bother going after it!!
I've had to yell at them and tell them they have a deer down in our woods. Lst year he had no one hunting around us. It was a wonderful season. And we let alot of nice young buck walk. And this year we are seeing many bigger bucks. But I'm afraid the neighbors are seeing them too.

I'm trying my hardest to get done work early today. I brought all my hunting gear to work. I'm in a killing mood today, so no doe is safe! I found 2 remote persimmons trees last year and shot a doe there on the first sit in that spot. Think I may revisit it and see if anyone is home. Also about 40 yards from this spot is a awesome buck bed, but haven't seen one come out of it yet. He beds out in the cattails under a lone tree. I just need to figure out the timing of when he is in there.

Yeah, I'm hoping they keep doing what they're doing. October 1st could be really interesting if they do! 3 for sure shooters so far! That big 8 point came out two nights ago just minutes after shooting light. He's not bedded to far from me. The tall 7 is there throughout the day, he's not bedded to far either. The split brow buck, That was the first pictures of him, not sure where he came from.

Just got up the tree. A ton of feeding sign on the way in. Just hope I didn't walk past the best stuff. I got to the spot I posted about above^^^. Looks good enough for a sit. I will report back if I knock one down.
