Hey Greg, thanks for getting the team thread started! My name is Holt. I mostly just hunt public around my home in Maryland. I do have a big piece of private I can hunt, but its not as good as the public land usually. I'm married and have 2 young daughters. Also run my own business, so this allows me to hunt alot come fall. Looking forward to getting to know you guys. I see a few familiar faces.
OK/Sooner checking in. My name is Brandon. I mostly hunt in Oklahoma. Have around 150 acres at my house to hunt then a few more big chunks of private. I also spend a week or so every year in another state and another week on OK public lands! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hey y'all! I'm Mark. I'm a Lutheran pastor in West Central Texas (the geographical center of the state). I've been bowhunting since 1979 but only really seriously for the last 15 years or so. I've been in Texas for 9 years and have gotten deer each of those years (though I was skunked on bucks for two seasons). Last year we purchased our own place of about 26 acres to use as a family homestead and I've been super busy getting it set up to operate as a small family farm/ranch ... so my hunting was limited last season. I'm seeing lots of doe and we had a few nice looking bucks show up a couple of days ago so I'm excited about being able to harvest some deer off of my own property this year.
Jim here. Most of you know me as I've been here a really loooooooong time! I live in Indiana and hunt here as well as in Ohio. I look forward to getting to know y'all. Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
About 11 days til season starts for me. I will be in a tree on opening day and plan to shoot a doe or good buck. I have zero Intel this year, but that's ok. I lucked into a couple mature bucks last season and was able to move in and shoot one after 4 sits. So going to do the same this year, just relay on in season scouting for a buck. If you guys have any good pics of buck from this year, please post them up. Every one loves pics! Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
If I remember right you killed a mega giant a few years ago? I havent even got a camera out yet, but I think my bucks from last year will still be around the house. Our's don't open until Oct 1 so we've got a little ways to go.
All of these pictures are taking right behind my house. This first one seems to be the biggest so far. Hope to get a better look at him soon.
Yes I shot a 203" buck back in 2016. Unfortunately it didn't count in the contest that year because I had already shot another buck. I promise if I find another one, I will hold out for him! Lol Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
That first one does look good! Looks like might be close to a 150" 8 pt. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
He's a good one for sure! There is bigger back there but I haven't got any pics yet... Normally around Halloween before the big ones start showing up. Since gas prices are ridiculous, I'll be focusing on hunting more at home then I will on my lease. I haven't even deployed any cameras on it yet.
Bobcat031 checking in. My name is Rob. I hunt with my son and son in-law in Michigan. I hunt private property. We only have a 23 acre parcel to hunt. But it's ours to hunt. and we make the best of it. I have 8 cell cameras out and we have several nice 8pt or better bucks. I love my time in the stand. Getting a big buck is plus. My main goal is to relax and enjoy nature. And to fill our freezer. We love venison.
Rob checking in here. Been on a few years now. Hunting north central Ohio area. Been hunting a friends 23 acres for 6 or 7 years now. Had a tornado tear through his place couple months back. Pretty rough shape. Had 4 stands up around the property. 1 ended up on the ground with the tree. 1 can't hunt because 3 large trees around it fell over. Root balls 10+ft tall. Plan on going out over the next month and re-evaluate where I'm going to hunt. See where the deer are making new trails.
