He hardly ever hunts, just knew it was a buck when he shot it, Liked to craped himself when he got up to it! LOL.
Doe down! Been seeing lots of action, missed a buck on the first afternoon. Finally got this big doe. Hoping to double on a fine buck. Stay tuned lol
Sweet! Congrats! So much fuss has been made lately, so dont forget 2 separate pics with you, deer and bow. Good luck on the rest of the hunt buddy. Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Buck down! This one won’t help the score a ton but I’m super stoked with this big mature 6 point! I’ll score him and do all the pics/uploads later
Hell yeah! Congrats man. Great looking buck, sir. Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I'm still hunting and I'm going to try and down a doe today. Who all on this team is still at it? We aren't in bad shape if each of us adds a doe, but I'm not sure how many of us are getting out. With the buck and doe just downed we should be over 700 points and would need an additional 300 to even contend. Team 27 is killin it with over 1000 points. So who's still on the hunt? Congrats mylsuhat! I haven’t been after it for a while but will be getting back out once classes end for the semester.
Still buck hunting here in Michigan, but if a big fat doe gets to close I'll add another 50 points to our score.
Wrote this up for another board I frequent so I figured I'd share with yall too I spent the last 5 days at a place we lease out in Western Oklahoma. Before this, I've only hunted there during the opening weekend of bow season and turkey season. This time due to other trips I pushed it back and it was worth it. The bucks were chasing does hard. I saw no less than 10-20 deer each day. The trip was not without it's low points though. On the first afternoon, I saw a nice buck about 200 yards out in the brush and decided to try to grunt at him. It worked and he came in on a string. Unfortunately I rushed the shot and hit him high above the shoulder and he took off. He was back in front of the camera the next day looking completely fine. I got to full draw and he was looking right at me. Kind of got my nerves going and I just rushed before settling the pin Bye! (you can see the green nock lit up where he was standing) Here he is the next afternoon (I wasn't there of course) Right here you can see the blood above his shoulders. Super high. Should be a great buck next year! The next morning I saw a bunch of deer but no shooters including this former 8pt with a broken rack Dad shot a nice buck that afternoon (12/2) I checked the camera at another stand I love to hunt and decided to hone in there and hunt for these two bucks (yes the WGI camera actually worked, I was shocked too) I hunted that stand on Tuesday morning and saw the big 6 at a distance but thats about all. I went back after eating lunch and saw deer all evening. At 5:30 I heard some grunting and a doe appeared. I watched her a while but couldn't see the buck making all of the grunts. Finally, the big 6 and 4 other bucks walked out. They were moving all over and I was worried I wouldn't get a shot. The doe began to leave and he followed. I was able to stop him at 32 yards and buried the arrow in him quartering away. He was down inside of 50 yards! More Pictures Sunrise over the Red River Wichita Mountains Does Sunset from the stand
