I checked cameras again today and hung a new stand. I was hoping one of my big shooters would be in daylight with this cold front we've had, but that isn't the case. One mature was though, a buck I had history with last year. Just a clean but big ol body! [IMG][IMG]

Just got back from Colorado yesterday. Didn't get it done but I had a bugling elk within 40 yards from me, never presented a shot unfortunately. We saw elk every day except for the first day. (some were on private lands)

It’s looking like my dad and I will finally be able to get up to our property and prep stands and set up cameras this weekend. It’s just been a busy summer and fall. It seems as if getting married will do that to a guy. Who knew?

Don’t know when I’ll get out now guys. Lost my 5 year old little girl yesterday. She had special needs and has been a fighter since she was born. It was and is a shock and we didn’t see it coming. It’s funny how you can be so focused on things like hunting and work and other stuff but when it’s all said and done, faith and family is what matters most. We know exactly where she’s at and know this isn’t the end. I’d appreciate your prayers. I know hunting will come later and will be part of the healing process. I write this here knowing that I don’t know you super well...but seeing your posts brings me joy. Keep knocking them down, have a safe season, and don’t neglect your families.

Thanks guys. On a positive note I finally have a decent buck on camera. Can’t tell exactly what he is but it better than nothing! IMG_1273.JPG

Hope to be in a tree by 530 here trying for a doe and to see what is happening at my new spot. Hope that food plot has improved and is doing it's job.
