Well our season opens Saturday. High of 90. I think I may go buy some gear and not sweat in a stand. Checking my cams tomorrow for last minute recon. I may get some sitka gear this weekend. Yep it's getting close. I've had three dreams about hunting in the past week. I probably won't get out till October but the season starts tomorrow and I can feel it getting close.
Never had a chance to get out to check cameras today but hope to mid day tomorrow. Looks like next weekend may be a good opportunity to get in my first sit. 15 to 20 degree drop in temps. Got out last night after work and pulled the chips on my river bottom place. I finally got a pic of a buck with hard horn, and a pretty nice one at that! I really think this is a young buck. He will be hard to pass this year if he gets close. He has some great potential to be a real pig if he makes it another year!

Make sure and get two pics with your bow in each when you enter your buck on the score thread.. They are picky about two different pic angles with bows in each.. want date, time of kill and score. once again heck of a buck!!!

I hate scoring deer it always make you feel bad inside...its a awesome buck that gave me the thrill of my life. But im a little pissed cause i was told tonight that the deer scored 145 3/8 which i still dont get but i guess. See it always gives me a sick feeling. I will never score another buck of mine if its gonna change my views of a deer this much. America...Love it or Leave it
