8 more days.... It's getting harder to sleep with whitetails on my mind day in and day out. You'd think i'd be used to it by now.
Well I have 2 days and even though I have nothing on Cam, I am very optimistic.....I have got to get me some more cameras...I have several good places that I have no idea what is coming around so hopefully I will get a big surprise come Saturday....... I hope this feeling never gets old or I get used to it lol.....
good luck on sat nc i will be out on the 15th pulled my cam card this morning no deer just turkeys but they have done this before the acorns are dropping good so they will be back i will check my cams next thursday and go from thier

LOL DU....You best bet if I kill a big buck I will go down to my in laws and post it lol.... I cannot Saturday evening due to one of my best friends wedding....I asked him WTH wasHe thinking getting married on opening day of bow season....lol I am going Saturday morning and Sunday evening so hopefully I will get us some points on the board....
Ohhhh hogwash, poor NC. Try being stuck at school two hours away. Opening day is Sept 17th, that's a Monday so I can't be home. The next weekend I have a mandatory meeting Saturday, can't make it home, the next, a mandatory community service project on Saturday, can't go home. And the next, well about time! 3 weeks after opening day I finally get to make it home on a break to hunt ducks (opening weekend) and deer the rest. I get Saturday morning-Tuesday afternoon to hunt, and you're damn right I'll take advantage of it! I just wish I could get to my trail cam today!
LOL DU!! I missing out on Saturday Evening was bad...Geez...That has got to suck for you man...Hopefully we will be off and running by then. I definitely should be able to get my one doe down b/w Saturday morning and Sunday evening......Either way I am just ready to be in a tree....We are finally supposed to have a break from the hot temps so it will be nice...The only thing that sucks is the fishing is heating up big time at the coast and I need some for the freezer lol...I can have a hook in the water in 45 minutes so I may have to split some early season time ....
guys, I will be going out Saturday evening and then again on Sunday morning. Will be hunting public land both days, so Hopeing I stumble onto some buck or doe I won't care. Wish me luck!
Sounds good Sean!! I have never hunted public land but I know it is a challenge for sure. I have access to the Angola Bay gl but there is only one access here in Duplin and there is only a small portion of it is open....It is pretty much a 12k Ac. bay with no roads or variety of anything....Probably will never try it..
Talk to everyone once I get back from elk hunting - for those hunting, hanging stands, etc - stay safe out there!! I did touch base with Fitz on the possibility of getting an alt if Zdeerslayer doesn't check in so if they don't - we'll most likely be getting an Alt once those are assigned....
