    Hopefully they will show man...

I totally agree....Half our team last year did not even take a doe....Heck, I shot my one doe for the team opening morning...that was my first priority lol...Unfortunately I was not able to contribute with a buck. There were 2 bucks shot on our team last year. One nice P&Y and then one that was around 110"...Thankfully we didn't finish last lol....Yep, like I said before really after the first couple weeks the only dialogue was between about 3-4 of us and that was it....And that still wasn't as often as it should have been...Which I know everyone is probably busy like myself. I am working two jobs and want to spend as much time with my wife and son so that doesn't leave a lot of time for everything else...

I love using cameras...I usually have 3-4 out but I don't put to much into what I see on them...Especially during the late summer...Very rarely will the same bucks stick around...Now if I get a nice one come the middle of Sept. or in Oct....then I get excited. On the flip side the cameras sometime take the excitement out of your hunting spots....Who wants to hunt where they have no pics of shooter bucks?? Not that all bucks are on the cam but you know what I mean...It is always fun just wandering what might step out next!!

Your wife and my wife must be related lol....It is so very true what you said though.....There is always something to be doing to prepare for the next deer season. Then you throw in fishing, turkey hunting, pig and coyote hunting, and all the other things we enjoy....well that pretty much takes up all 365 days lol....My wife gets so aggravated b/c she knows on Sunday afternoons where I am headed....She just doesn't believe that there could be this much work in killing a deer lol.....She is an avid turkey hunter by the way....

Archery season in Wisconsin starts Sept 15th but my sits will be few and far between to start for a variety of reasons. The number 1 reason is I have a 3 month old daughter (Alivia) which is my first and my wife works crazy hours so we get daddy/daughter time. Also goose/duck seasons start around the same time and the salmon start staging in Lake Michigan to make their trip up river to spawn so I will be out there trolling in the "Bull Pen". I'm not saying I won't be hunting my heart out though when I do get in the woods.

DoubleLung, where in WI do you hunt? I hunt in Door & Kewaunee counties. My buddies and I are trying for the first time to video our hunts and post them to YouTube. We started during turkey season but I was the only one to take a turkey and the day I did, I was the only one to wake up so I didn't have a cameraman. Hopefully we get some footage to share with everyone.

Don't have an idea for a team name but we call our hunting group here "Tail Chasers Elite".

Those are some pretty good reason lol...especially number 1......

I have a 4 year old son and another little boy due in December so I know come next year I will be especially busy lol

Hey guys. DU checking in from the heart of central KS. I've seen tons of monsters Around the property this year and last. Hate to say it but I'm stuck being a student 150 miles from home. Luckily I have a few breaks where I can get home and hopefully stick a few. I had tons of opportunities last year, and this year I plan to connect. This thread below is pics from this year so far.

I've also seen many other bucks scouting and hanging stands. One is a 4x5 with a nice kicker off the back side. ;)

Here are some other pictures from last year (Still around)!

Hey. I hunt in Shawano County near Wittenberg, it's actually my friends property. I am extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to hunt there because, if you know anything about that area... it is incredible whitetail country.

Good luck filming this year, I think you'll find that the sport is much more rewarding when you add filming to the equation. To be honest I look forward to being able to bring back the footage and showing the wife and kids more than airing them on tv and/or the web. :) Congrats on the Turkey! I wish I could say the same for myself... seen alot of birds just coudn't get within shooting range, maybe next year! :)

Sounds like your wife is as special as mine... not sure all women can cope with our obsession for bowhunting as much as them.

This is my first year on a team but from what I can tell... in order to win this thing or compete we need as many doe kills as we can get!! What is everyone's doe situation? As for me I'll be smacking one ASAP, hopefully September 15th! :)

Great to have you on board Kyle (DU)! Those are some great looking bucks you've got on camera! Hopefully things work out!

Where do you go to school? I've hunted in the KSU area several times....

My doe situation isn't very good.... I had put in for a special urban archery only doe tag (that would have been a good hunt) but found out I didn't draw it this week... Deer populations are down in my main areas but we'll see what happens...

Hey guys. My name is Clayton. I hunt down in Southern IL. My dad and I are the only 2 hunters on 120 private acres so we usually have decent success. I've got a couple nice deer on camera again this year so hopefully I'll get one down. I also plan to take a doe early in the season to get a quick 50 points on the board.

Looking forward to a fun and hopefully successful year.

    Good luck guys.

Headed down to WI this weekend to pickup the 7 trailcameras we have on the property, hope to bring back some eye candy for you all!!!

...been thinking about some more team names too and really like, 'Antler Geeks' (I know this is a show, but the name is fitting and pretty cool), 'Whitetail Pigs' or 'Addicted', along with my other suggestions... 15 and counting, Whitetail Pursuit or Team Bloodtrail.
When we decide on a name to run with I'll mockup a design or team logo, I'm an architect and designer by trade so I have the tools to come up with something. :) I'd love to get everybodys thoughts, and keep the team name suggestions coming.
    Thanks guys!

Too bad we can only turn in one doe........Just make sure you take two pics from two different angles with you and your bow or they will not count....Not sure if you guys read the rules thread but they are pretty strict when it comes to the photos....We had a guy kill a buck last year and didn't take but one pic with him and his bow and it didn't get counted....Also, you must post it in Score sheet thread...If you only post it on the teams page it will not count...Just an FYI if you didn't know....
