Well September did go fast for me as well...First time I have not had at least one deer down by October..Kinda sucks but at least I have got to January 1st to fill my 6 tags... Speaking of crops coming out early...There are actually some soybeans being picked around here!!! They never come out before Nov.-December..All because of our extremely mild winter...

That's sweet! I've never been duck hunting but I have friends that do it and say it's better than deer hunting! ...Doubt it but I'd love to try it some day!
Nice job! Haven't been duck hunting since I was a kid...maybe because I felt that I nearly froze to death! All I remember is being really really cold, and my Dad had to literally break the ice from around my boots when it was time to leave. Brrrr! Makes me cold thinking about it!
Hey Guys. Just bought some 'Evercalm' last night after hearing/reading good things about it. I'm excited to use it this weekend, i'll let you all know if I notice any evidence of it working. Any of you try this stuff yet? What did/do you think? ...It's not cheap at $23 a stick but apparently it lasts all year plus.
Duck/Goose hunting is a little more action packed but there is still nothing that compares to arrowing a 200ish pound animal. If you get the chance to duck/goose hunt, do it, it's a blast.
SouthDakotaHunter, if you have a smart phone message me your number, cause your missing out on an app that most of us are logged into called 'groupme'. It's a great way to stay in touch while on stand and there are some great conversations taking place.
My personal cell phone is just a normal cell phone with a limited txt plan (I buy only 250 a month). I do have a blackberry for a work phone but it doesn't have txt'ing enabled. Looks like I may be able to load the app on the BB though... I'll have to try and find my blackberry app store password and load it....

Nice doe Kyle! Feels good getting meat in the freezer and gaining confidence just before the best time of the year, don't it? Like I said I had a brutal weekend although if we could shot moose up here I'd have a young bull down! Have a great week crew... can't wait til Friday when I leave for WI again.
I went out this morning... Fantastic conditions... Northern Indiana in the 20's with hardly any wind... However the deer didnt get the memo that is was a perfect time for me to see them.... I have been on stand three days for a about 12 hours all together and have yet to see a deer... Not sure where they went... I am going to blame the standing corn.. Cant wait to have that gone
Dang Sevi! Sounds like great conditions man. It has finally cooled down here for a couple days but I will not be able to hunt until Thursday probably...It is suppose to warm back up a little bit but will see..
