I changed my avatar to it and if anyone comes up with a better one or adds to it we can go from there.
Seeing everyone already hunting in the LFTS thread is making me jealous! October 1st can't get here soon enough. I'll be out on Sunday checking cameras and doing some last minute stand prep.
I leave tomorrow morning for bear hunt in Minnesota. I cant wait! Come home, work 4 days, and its opening day. Woohoo
Next Sunday will be my first day out. Strictly buck hunting this year! I will take a doe if she presents a perfect opportunity and she’s big enough but I want my big boy this year so I’m going to do everything I can Hoyt Pro Defiant Easton FMJ Ramcat fixed blade
I can only shoot one deer in my area of Minnesota so I am picky. Unfortunately it also means I eat eat my tag more often than not. We always shoot a couple deer during gun season so I've never in a big rush to shoot a doe with my bow. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
Good luck on your bear hunt @rknierim I usually shoot a couple does a year. In my county we are aloud to shoot 4 does and 1 buck. I usually shoot a doe in the first couple of days if she gives me a good shot and if its not too hot. Running low on deer meat also so probably first week or so I should have a doe down unless one of my shooters keeps showing up in daylight.
I sure wish we could get at least 2 but I can only shoot 1 total even if I bow, slug and muzzleload. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
Dang is that the whole state of MN or just the county you live in? Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Basically the entire SW corner is that way. There's other areas that are the same I believe. Some zones I think you can shoot 4 or 5. I wish I could at least get a landowner tag on top of the 1 but can't do that either. I actually think if you get a landowner tag where applicable it virtually makes your land public. Who the hell is going to do that?! Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
It sure does! For these reasons I debate even joining this every year but.. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
@greatwhitehunter3 we are glad to have ya! Any points you bring to the table will help! Been on teams where someone has shot a buck or doe and didn't even post it in the score thread so it didn't count. Its just fun to be on a team thats active and keep in touch with each other threw out the season and see how everyone else's season is going.
I'm usually pretty good at being active on here, especially sitting in the tractor all fall. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
@greatwhitehunter3 I'm usually active on here during the season, off season not so much. I usually just follow/read threads during the off season and don't say anything.
@mylsuhat agreed! If i lived in a county/state like that i would definitely be hunting out of state for sure!
