Have a squirrel cutting right over top of my blind. He scared the crap out of me when he jump in the tree. I was having a perfectly good nap!

Had a nice morning sit. Nice doe below me for about 30-40 minutes chomping acorns. And a spike I've been seeing buck on all the cameras but hadn't really saw what trails they were using the spike showed me lol. Buddy Jim who owns the land shot a nice crab claw buck last night at last light. Wind is looking good for the pond stand. Has Apple trees and persimmons 20 yards away usually has a lot of movement throughout the day and the most photos of the buck im after with tall brow tines. Pulling out now for a monster and a Sammich then back at it.
I'm all about putting a doe down early. I just need the opportunity. Zero deer first two sits. Hopefully tonight I can change that. One of my shooters that went MIA for over a week showed up last night. Good luck guys!
We just had our hog processed, and my cow is supposed to be done this month. Between those and the 158lbs of chicken I raised on furlough freezer is full lol. Going to run half this hog down to my wife's sister end of the month. Will probably shoot the doe, get some summer sausage made, keep the steaks and good cuts share the burger with guys at work.

Well I ended up not hunting this weekend. Friday's sit got me in the way of nasty Charlie horses Friday night. Went to the family farm to put the finishing touches on the shooting house. Tweaked my back lifting the door up to be hung. That put the nix on the evening hunt and had me down today also. Hoping the ice/heat gets it so I can get back after it. Terrible to get old! Shooting house is ready to hunt.
My buck is ready to pick up tomorrow! Nobody was open last sunday, so I had to drive an hour and a half to have the Mennonites process him. I rearranged the freezer tonight and we still have probably 40lbs left from 18 and 19. I've clearly been procrastinating installing the replacement igniter on our smoker...
I’m off of work Thursday- Sunday. I’m hoping to get out a fair amount during that time. Weather looks ok. It will be buck only until my tag is filled or the late season.
@Bone Head Hunter - I'm still waiting for @benkharr to reenter his kill in the scorecard. To be clear, the score has three asterisks by it and will stand even if he doesn't reenter because that's only fair. I may take some heat for that but that comes with the screw up. Still, it would be a great help to me if he could get it reentered.
I have sent him two conversation messages already asking for the pics and score sheet to be re-entered. I sent the last one yesterday. I think he only has three post in our entire team thread. He doesn't seem to be that active on the site. He was on last Friday morning. Not sure what else to do!
