I like the top one as well if you can get a deer in there cool or maybe ever some antlers or a bow or a ladder stand in the bed. Something hunting related but that’s an awesome pic man great job Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Question for you guys. Just bought land 2 months ago. 20 acres. Never owed land before so this is a first for me. How do I go about introducing myself to the neighbors and making sure I can track a deer on their land if need be. And also making a friendly relationship. I now own the Bruce Anderson land. I plan on going up there Thursday to knock on every door that connects to my property. Sent from my LM-Q610(FGN) using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Cookies or a pie and a card and face to face if you can! Seems stupid by every land owner and neighbor I’ve had to grow relationships with never shut me down when I had food and a card. But you also have to offer possibly first that with the relationship of being neighbors now that you would be willing to help track deer of theirs that run into YOUR property as well. And maybe see what they do as of deer management like” not shooting little bucks.” And that your willing to work with them to make that the best damn booner buck and trophy doe area in the state. That’s what I do lol be willing to do as much as they do or more Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Holy cow where did everyone go!?! This thread is dead Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I’m guessing since your logo has no dead deer and only a broken bicycle they are hunting Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
No one’s season has started and we are already at 9 pages. My team last year had 11 pages total for the season! Only so much BS you can shoot before the arrows start flying.
Ive been contemplating suicide as I keep finding more and more EHD kills Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
DONT DO IT BOONERVILLE! Hah. Man that’s just awful it’s ugly right now I’m hearing. Sunday it all begins again. New Hampshire Archery Opener! Can’t wait to be elbow deep in deer blood and fresh venison for the family.
Thanks Mike for the advice. I'll let you know how it goes. Sent from my LM-Q610(FGN) using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Definitely introduce yourself and have a card with your info in case anyone needs anything from you. Feel people out a bit, but I wouldn’t necessarily come on too strong. I would try to listen more than talk and just get a feel for who all hunts the area and what the history of deer harvest has been or the attitude toward hunting in general. I’d talk to a neighbor that hunts first if you can identify someone. They can probably give you a better background and info without having to talk to everyone initially and warn you about any strong personalities or anti hunters. A nice bottle of booze or some venison certainly wouldn’t be out of the question. Looks like a nice little parcel!
Indiana starts Oct 1st, but I won't be in the woods until Saturday. Sent from my moto z4 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Deja Vu! Rained 3” over the past few days. Hoping we get a reprieve or my land will be underwater once again. Thankfully it’s sunny and really windy today to help dry things out a little bit. Taking my son on the youth duck hunt tomorrow morning so probably will not be bow hunting this weekend. Hoping to get out next week an evening or two for my first site of the year. Good luck to everyone who has seasons starting soon! Let’s goooooo!
Alright guys...I am getting up early in the morning to meet my buddy and do some scouting, trimming shooting lanes, and prepping our spots on public land. I have never been to this place and haven’t hunted public land in almost 15 years. I am looking forward to the challenge. Only 2 weeks till season starts for me here in Arkansas! Let’s get after them folks! Oh, and I just dropped $330 today on a full hunting saddle kit from Aero Hunter. Never even saddle hunted before. Lol Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
New Hampshire opens tomorrow and I’ll be hitting a 4000 acre state land WMA I have only filmed a hunt or two on for people so pumped to hit it with tags of my own to fill. Have the lone wolf packed and will spend sun up to sun down out there scouting and hunting my way around.
My son Owen and his friend cleaned up during the first morning of the youth hunt in WI. Hitting it with him one more time in the morning and then I’ll sit a bit during the week for deer and maybe try and stick a doe.
Looks like a good time. I can't wait to take my kids out for their first hunt, but we've still got a couple of years. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
