Did some fishing, shooting, land prep, and family time this weekend. Love introducing kids to the outdoors. I coach a high school ice fishing team and took one of my former team members (now graduated) musky fishing today and he boated his first ever musky! A dandy 47” fish on Green Bay. Almost time to concentrate on hunting full time, but I’ll still squeeze in a few musky trips!

Alright y'all. I hunt in 2 states. Kentucky and Arkansas. KY season starts on 6 Sep and AR starts late Sep. My only hunting in KY will be a week and a half in late November. I did shoot a decent 8 point buck (for me) with a bow in KY last year. It helped the team out and scored 73.5”. Then 2 years ago I shot a 95 7/8" buck in KY as well. I have been Bowhunting for about 14 years. I am gonna do my best this year to help the team out but I am married and have 3 kids. You know how that goes. Lol. I am active duty Air Force and stationed in Arkansas. As far as our Captain and team name, I am down for whatever everyone wants. Maybe we could get a few names and have a quick vote? I will say that I would prefer not to be the Captain. Busy, busy, busy. Lol I am happy to be on the team and looking forward to hearing from you all and competing together against the other teams. Ok guys, now that I'm back here's my season info. My NV tags were for a buck muley this year and I'm in an area that I have been told is a great hunt. My season runs November 10 - 20 and I plan on hunting 11 - 12 and 16 - 20. I have the break in the middle for work and class. I've been told of a couple of areas to go check out and am planning on hunting with my neighbor for his hunt about a week before to see where I need to go. I haven't really been practising or setting things up, but I'm hoping with school being in session and settling my personal life, I can get out and scout and shoot and get ready for the season. I have onX maps and will take screenshots of the areas that I'm thinking of hunting later.
