I had a great evening sit. I believe I saw 20 bucks but a couple may have been repeats. Didn’t get good lucks on a few. Saw a huge 6 point that was going to be hard to pass had he given me a shot. Also at last light I saw a huge bodied buck with a big framed rack. Didn’t see him real well but he was 160+. I work the next 2 days then I’m off for 3.

Nice shooting! I was close to sealing the deal on Sunday night on our target buck but couldn't quite seal the deal. Hopefully back on him this weekend!!

Three days of hot muggy temperatures, cool in the morning and hot afternoons. Setting records here in Texas for this late hot spell. Even the deer don't know what to do. Finally this morning had some movement but wind kept swirling not sure if they winded me or a buck was hot on a doe. Got three days of rain coming so I'll be heading home and pick up in about a week. Watching the temperatures before I come back out.

Seen a bunch on a public piece last night. Passed up a 45 yard shot on a doe just didn't feel right. Otherwise nothing else was close. 2 small bucks bumping the doe's around. I'll try to sneak out after work for a quick hunt but will be out next weekend for sure. Good luck guys

I was hunting the edge of a dense thicket Sat when I rattled late in the day. Not long afterwards I hear a deer walking in the thicket keeping a steady pace of grunts. He started to depart and I grunted at him. He turned around and approached, but all I could see were brief patches of brown drifting through the underbrush. I heard him rub a tree not far away. I tried a loud aggressive grunt, and that was it, he walked away. Oh well. Two small deer then came to my bait with just 10min of time left. I shot the bigger doe as I still have friends looking forward to donated venison. I heard her crash - 80yds into the very gnarly thicket. Will be back Tues afternoon.

Well was able to harvest a small buck last weekend. just getting home to post it. wasn't the buck i was hoping for, but wanted meat for the family, and this buck gave me a 15 yard chipshot, so took it. won't be back out with the bow until December, as gun season starts Nov 15 here in michigan.

Weather here in arkansas has been the same. The deer just arent really moving during daylight. My buddy n i have located a small bedding area and are getting consistent pics of multiple deer at a time with a few good bucks as well. Planning on setting up an ambush next weekend hoping that moving in tight to bedding cover will pay off. Plus the temps are supposed to be dropping this week. Hunt hard and aim straight! God bless!!!

It’s been a rough season for me. Seeing a couple good bucks but never coming in. The amount of spikes and forks I’ve seen is ridiculous. I’ll get out a few times this week. Will be starting to sit over food plots. I think the wind is going to start being more favorable. We’ve had a ton of south winds which isn’t great for me.

Well I finally connected today, weather was extremely chilly this morning once the wind kicked in. Group of does came in fast around 11:50 this morning. Kinda caught me off guard. Took a shot on this bigger one, didn't make it 30 yards. 5 minutes later I seen why they were moving fast, big eight pointer right behind them, talking getting caught with your pants Down. He came right same spot as the does but stop right behind tall brush, I tried to reposition myself and my platform creaked, he got nervous and slowly moved off. Ugh, rookie mistake [IMG][IMG]
