Ok, sounds like you are on one. Here's hoping for a good wind early to get you on him before he changes it up.
I needed my hardhat tonight. I climbed atree next to some red oaks that were raining acorns tonight. The deer have been in there too a few rubs one biggun and lots of tracks. I had a little fawn show up as I was attaching my camera arm to the tree. The bow was laying across my seat. It heard something and bounded off. Then the neighbor started mowing his lawn. Lots of racket tonight. I'm headed back in the morning to see who shows up for a bite before heading to bed. I'm hoping to get us some more points this weekend, the weather has finally cooled down. It's supposed to be in the 50's tonight. Ahhhhhhh!
Hunted every am and pm this weekend in and around my subdivision and saw thay one little deer Friday night. Man I sure thought with the weather cooling down and sitting on falling acorns the deer would be all over me. It must be all nighttime movement. Not sure I'll gey out any this week after work. But I'm taking off Friday and next Monday to hunt my farm in IL. I've got a few good ones that were hanging around all summer, so hopefully I can find one of them or a doe if one crosses my path. After last season, I just need to kill something and get back on a roll.

Although, on the wind front, I could be setup to end a 3 year chase with a tank of a doe in the evening sit.
Just made it home from CO this morning and I'm swamped at work so I won't get pics up until tonight... pics of 50 more points for us!!! I'll read through the rest of the posts then too and get caught up. Keep laying 'em down!
Way to go on the Mulie Doe (I presume) Rob. That will help pad our lead a little more. We almost have this thing wire to wire so far! I'm hoping to contribute with at least a doe this weekend when I start hunting in IL. Way to Team!!
Here's the rest of the pics from CO. I'll write up a post about it tomorrow if I get the chance. http://s252.photobucket.com/albums/hh22/robswanson/Hunting/CO Elk and Mule Deer/?albumview=slideshow
Ben that sounds like awesome temps for your opener.... good luck! Rob, what can I say those pictures are awesome. I hardly recognized you without the fuzzy mugshot behind a dead critter lol...
Man the rest of you guys and gal are really making this look easy. I guess I better get going this weekend and put some points on the board. (I hope)
As I told one of the guys on this last trip when a giant mulie stepped out; "Just make the shot; Chill, Drill and Kill." It's that easy... I think he had trouble with the chill part though because just before that I was freaking out going; "Holy $%&#! That's the biggest &%#@ing mule deer I've ever seen! Holy $%&#! Holy $%&#!" :D
My write-up of the mulie hunt is in this thread halfway down the page: http://forums.bowhunting.com/showthread.php?t=16026&page=2
Hey everyone! I am back from my bear hunt and sadly no bears or even a sighting of one. Loggers came onto the lease and demolished everything and it poured rain for 4 days....ugh! Gonna go back and try in October but until then its doe killin time!!
