I wish we could have more than one deer tag here in Idaho, short of buying a leftover NR tag. I hope I don't hold the team back! I have a few bucks patterned in the 120's and maybe a couple over 130 as of now. Heading in to scout another area on wednesday.

Hey everyone, sorry I haven't been around much.

Congrats Rob, and Jenna on the early entries :) well done.

Had a few guys from the crew up filmin a bear hunt last weekend got some kills on film :), still runnin baits and hunting for myself. Hopefully I'll get a crack this week/weekend they are starting to pick up quite a bit.

My bowseason opens this saturday, I'll likely hunt deer in the morning, and bear in the evening!

Avatar and team name are good. I'll try to be around more now that the internet is workin at the house again.

    Hope all is well.

You gott'ta be kidding me? The biggest whitetails I've seen were from northern ID from when I was living in Lewiston back in '95/'96. My biggest shed was from off the Dworshak Resevoir.

Rob, i'll get my chance. I live north, in Bonner Co. This county has produced the most record book bucks for the state. I know their out there. It may not be this year, but i'll find 'em. A crappy work schedule kept me out of the woods this year so scouting was limited.

Also, If anyone wants my # for the teaser texts PM me and we can excahnge.

Anytime this thread gets dead and threatens to get bounced to page 2 I'm going to post this picture just because I love it so much. This is what it's all about guys; :D

You'll have to keep it going while I'm gone John. I leave this afternoon for the CO gathering and won't be back until 9/28.

Stay focused, stay safe and shoot some big deer guys!!!!

I'll be in a tree by around 4:30 this evening. Looking to score on a doe unless a nice buck comes along first. It's gonna be warm and prolly have the thermacell working on skeeters too. They are predicting 85-88 for the high today. It's been cloudy so far so maybe that will keep the temps down.

Well I had a couple of close calls tonight on my first sit. I had 4 does and 3 fawns come off the hill around my stand by the creek tonight. I was trying to get my kill on cam while filming myself (not easy). Plus I'm hunting around a bunch of houses, so I'm only taking THE PERFECT shot at close range. Well I had a couple of iffy shots that I passed on and had one doe looking straight at me at 10 yards. Finally one of the old does spotted me moving into position on a different doe and the gig was up. Tails everywhere. I'll give that spot some time and try it agian in a little while.

I sat in my ground blind till dark last night and didn't see a deer. I can't believe it, I was in the corner of a picked corn field littered with tracks and nothing came out. I may have to try that again tonight. See if Thursdays are their night off.
