For sure. I got to tell ya. I was trying to telepathically grow his antlers while he ate some oats. It's been 2.5 weeks since I have released an arrow on a critter.:)

Hey guys! Sorry I havent been checking in...aint been much to talk about or ANY action on the stand either. I have been out hunting probably 10 times and have been skunked every single time. I am so frustrated!!! I have unlimited doe tags left so once I find the deer I will be definitely laying some fur down haha

Stinks we lost our lead, lets take this thing back!!! lol:rock:

I'm trying, things are crazy at work right now, and have not had the chances to get out like I normally do. I will be out in the morning, and afternoon tomorrow, and the same on Sunday.

Just got back, had a great sit. With 10 mins left of daylight had a doe come in a stand at the base of my tree. She was so close I could count the 50 points worth of hair on her back...Oh yeah, doe season starts in two days:throw:

Heading back out in about a half hour. Great weather, 39* with a slight rain warming into the high 40's throughout the day. Doe season finally opens today, so first legal deer is getting the arrow through it, one week till I move. I have been putting in alot of time on the stand this year and know it will pay off sooner or later. It can all change in 30 seconds!

I keep telling myself that. I have nearly 95 hours in this year so far. It's all I know how to do, pedal to the metal. I am gonna toss a curve ball and hunt the cabin tonight. Haven't been on the mountain since opening day. Got to work early this morn so that I can try and zip out as soon as I can. Stay on em boys.

Well I hunted last week with the muzzleloader and saw 3 shooters but somehow I never connected on one. I did however pinpoint their bedding area so I've got a great spot for a stand now. I'll be hunting this week some and then next week I'm heading to the federal wildlife management area for the 3 day hunt that I was selected for. I'm holding out for a doe till later in the season (post rut). It's just hard for me to release an arrow right now since I fully expect to see a buck following any doe I see. I keep thinking this could be the doe that brings that monster by my stand. Good luck to the rest of you.

    Back at work today.

I came close Saturday evening. My big 11 pointer came out into my food plot 200 yards away at his scrape. Sort of angled towards me but passed by at about 80 yards. I tried everything to get him closer. He'd take a couple steps my way and then head the other direction.

Then my big nontypical came out just at dark 60 yards away and go to within 40 yards after dark. The little bucks were out quite a bit so this next weekend should be just crazy.

I saw more rut action last weekend than all of last year total.

There's going to be some blood spilled here any day now from the sounds of it! I've got a stand to sneak in tight on a bedding area this afternoon.

Ouch! I just checked the scores and we're plummeting like a rock in helium! We'll be down to 5th when Shed's buck gets in. Drop some bone boys!

I saw some nice deer at John's place. It's just a matter of time before he gets one of them.

We also tag-teamed a booner mouse over the weekend. :D

Congrats Kyle !!!! I was wondering when you would start putting deer down. Congrats on the doe !!

Nice buck !! LOL Is it me or is the plumbing looking funny on him ?? :) The antlers would make awesome rattling horns. ;)
