Plenty of sightings this weekend, but only does and turkeys,no antlers. It was so hot I didn't feel like messing with a doe. I was buck hunting only and they have disappeared. No shot opps on the turkeys.

Something that hasn't disappeared are the cows running around on my property. I talked to the sherrif Saturday. He is gonnatalk to the neighbors about getting them off my place.

Heading out tonight. Should be a great sit. Perfect wind for a new stand location. Have three heavily used trails that form a triangle around me. One at 12 yards, one at 17, and one at 19. Also have one other trail at 25 yards. Bascially, if a buck comes down a trail within my seeable distance he is getting shot at:rock:

    Teaser texts to come....I hope:poke:

Still waiting on that teaser text Dave.

Anybody getting any good bucks on trail cams. My sighting have dropped off since they shed velvet. Scrapes are starting to show up now tho so that should help get some of em on camera again. I hope.

Working till 5:30 all this week, so no after work hunting in MO. I'll be back in IL again this weekend It's suppose to be a little cooler too.

I see a couple teams have 4 does on the ground now... time to lay the smack down Jenna!! Team 19 is breathing down our neck again.

Looks like I go to sea tomorrow for a couple days then I can concentrate on killing my goat this weekend at last!!!

I'm really looking forward to hunting this weekend, Lots of scrapes showed up last week and I set a couple cameras on different ones. Can't wait to see who shows up. It's gonna be getting better every week for a while now.

Heading out today with Rob in tow as cameraman. Sitting in a productive spot for the first time as well now that we have the SE wind. Hoping for a big night.

Well I'm stuck on land after the boat had a crewman injured last night. Now you'll all have to put up with me harassing you into shooting something. Stick us a biggun you guys!!

I may go scout some bears this evening and try to find a couple stand locations. My usual river had a failed salmon run so I'm not anticipating too much action there this year. We're scouting another river.

Had planned all day to go out after work today, but right at 4:00, (I work 7-4) I find out that I have to work OT for the rest of this week, including Saturday!! Not going to complain about having work, because we never know when our hours will get cut again, but damn, I havent been in a treestand in a week and a half.

Can't believe we got blanked tonight. Saw a grey fox. Need another week and half for him to have been legal. He flopped down for a nap at 33 yards. Cool enough, but really wanted to see a buck. Saw my first scrape on the way in. Things will start to pick up. I'm gonna use the coming monsoon as cover to adjust a stand tomorrow. I'll likely sit for the night there then, rain gear and all.

Why does that conger images from the movie Office Space? "You mean you're going to quit?!"... "No, I'm just not going to go anymore."

You need to say; "Sorry Lumberg, I've got deer to kill."

Good flying weather today. I'm headed up in a friend's Aeronca Sedan tonight to scout for goats and bears. I'll be sure to take plenty of pics.

    Good Luck Rob!

Moved my stand about a week ago and it is producing big for me right now! Sat on it one evening and one morning so far. Nothing but does and two smaller bucks. With the population of does in this area I should have a shooter coming through at any time.

Cool vid. John congrats! That came out fast.

We postponed the flight until today to get a little better lighting and more fair winds for flying around in those mountain passes. It's looking great out there right now. The goats are easy enough to see in any lighting (other than fog) but I'm hoping to spot a toad of a brownie while we're up there as well. They're a little harder to pick out down in the brush.
