Spent the weekend planting 2000 pounds of buck forage oats over about 20 fields. still have a few smaller plots to plant with turnips, radishes, and rape but i am about done with planting and that means time to kill a big boy. Hunted yesterday morning and afternoon but did not see a deer all day. Better luck next time i guess.

Replaced the batteries in all my cameras and moved one. The heat is tough on battery life. Also did some shooting, my Muzzys are flying just like fieldpoints. I shot from my ladder stand from inside 10 yds out to about 35 yds. Ready! Now if Sept 28th will just hurry up and get here.

Slow afternoon hunt. Trail cam had elk and bucks on it.. daylight movement.. But quite a bit slower over the past 3 ... 90 plus degree days. Back after them Fri, Sat and Sun.. Mr. Mom this afternoon. :)

hey guys sorry i have not been talking much i have been so busy i checked my cam the other day and since that big 8 was on it i have not seen a deer since so i think its time to find a new spot i will have to do a bit more looking around on other properties i have not hunted yet. i just found out that i can hunt a state park 5min away from where i go to school. the other day i went and looked around over there and i saw a lot off good sign and i saw a nice 8 point drinking in the lake and i saw some nice does. the ranger told me that there was a big 14 point runing around out there that he has been seeing im pumped for oct 1st

    Nice! Congrats:tu:

I almost pulled it off last night. Had my pins on 3 different deer. The small fork in the mix kept me from shooting the does. In the fading light and dancing around, it took awhile to confirm that I wasn't going to accidentally shoot him.
