Sat in a stand this afternoon, no luck for me. Busted a doe walking in and that was the only deer movement for the evening. Was out of town for the long weekend and now back at it. Hope to be in a tree tomorrow afternoon again. Looking forward to the season.

Sounds nice guys....sure wish I could now.

I got everything ready now....lol. Just waiting on a new pack of 100gr. Swhackers to get here. I ordered a pack of the 2" cut to try out this year. I have always hunted with the 1.75" ones...hopefully these will be just as great.

I try to film every once in a while. I have one of those jack knife iPhone mount things for my bow that's pretty cool, and I've got a little video camera I've tried to use too. I guess I just am more into the kill right now than the filming. Maybe that'll change in the coming years.

I self film and or film all of them. We (Nextbuk Outdoors) make whitetail instructional based DVDS. This year we filming to co-host a 2014 season hunting show as well. Busy Busy.

Slow afternoon. 86 degrees.. My boy and I had 3 does and 2 bucks come through. 1 legal buck but out of my sons range. :)

Did a little shooting this afternoon. I'm trying to get my new sight dialed in. Got it hitting dead on! This weekend I'll start shooting broadheads. Still have until the 28th to get everything lined out.

I just spent the entire day planting a 2 acre food plot on one of my farms. Last year, Shultzy came down to hunt with Mark Cooper and I let them hunt on this farm and they saw a booner 10 pt. in this food plot. I have only hunted there a couple of times ever but hope that my son or one of his friends can kill a good one out of this plot. If not, maybe dear ol' Dad will have to give this place a little more attention! lol
