Went out this morning and had a decent 8 pt at @ 25 yards but he did not cooperate and give me a shot. Next time!

Unicorn buck did not show up for my son until two minutes left of legal time and he was still over 150 yards away but coming so we slipped out fast. It should happen eventually, but its hard to get him out with all of his commitments for school and work. We passed up at least 8 does waiting for him and I am starting to get the itch to put 50 points up on the board! lol

Back at it today finally. Sitting in the same stand I just shot my doe out of hopefully the big 11 walks by dubbed "ET". If another mature buck or doe shows himself first they will get it though!

In school today we learned first hand experience how important a safety harness is! Please of your hunting out of any elevated stand wear a safety harness!

Two bottom bucks came in at last light. After watching them play around for a little while I got out. On the way back I spooked up a nice buck that I think was The big eleven we've been watching.

Hunted tonight and passed up some does hoping for an 8 pt I have been seeing around that stand. But he never showed. I'll be back at it in the morning. Going to a stand I haven't messed with since limbing it up in august. Always a good buck stand, I'm excited.

I think so too. Can you imagine making it your first bow buck...lol. I so hope we can make that happen for him but it was not to be tonight. The deer started moving really early and a front was blowing in. The wind got really strong as the evening went on and the deer were jumpy as heck. He had passed 7 does inside 15 yards already by 5:33pm.....11 total and the buck never showed. We did see one really nice 8 pt that would be solid 140's and that was the only rack out of over 40 deer. I really dont think the mature bucks want to move around right now in that much wind. Give them two more weeks and it wont slow them down much. We wont get to hunt again now until next week so good luck to the rest of you. Keep up the good work and hold onto the lead. I will snag a doe in a week or so and will be running cameras hard on scrapes soon looking for a few new target bucks.

I haven't been able to hunt since Friday and probably shouldn't have tried then. I'm down in my back and have sciatic nerve pain down my left leg. Doctors appointment in the morning. Hopefuly he can get me straitened out before my next vaction at the end of the month. That's if the Government is up and running by then.

Last night I used up my last doe tag on a nice sized doe. It was all caught on camera as I was self filming!

Well boys, I took my grandma hunting this morning. As we left the house she sis that she's never killed a 10 pt so I put her in the stand I've been seeing one. And look what walked by checking a scrape at 7:45. Big 10 is down! Don't let her fool you though, she's killed nearly 250 deer and has one in the SC record books. Now if I could get another one like him in bow range I'll be set!
