Looking forward to it! I am not sure if he can get an antlerless tag or not....I will have to check on that. I know he can not use a landowners tag legally. I can get unlimited landowners doe tags until the quota fills which wont be until January but unfortunately, they are landowner specific. If I find out that he can get a non-resident doe tag, you are welcome to bring him here and I can put him on a doe or two....nearly a guarantee for shot opportunities. I have WAY too many. I saw a nice 145+ 10pt today while putting up a new stand. I hope he can survive for a couple of years and get stupid big. I may get out tomorrow evening for a sit with my son. I may go ahead and shoot a doe so we can get the points early in the competition. Great buck Shed. You never disappoint! I was pumped to see you on our team.

Yah ummm.... I see why you didn't put my buck on the score card! Like I wasn't going to be able to provide a time of kill... Are you scared? :busted:

Next thing you know you will want a copy of the tag, photo ID, hunting license, location of kill w/ GPS coordinates and the name of the land owner. ;)

Back at it tonight! Sitting in the same stand my brother shot his buck. (Siman/OH) there's been a few shooter bucks comin by on almost everyday occasions so I've got a good chance at a buck! If mrs.doe walks in she's getting a tap on the should too. It's real windy and really hot. Hopefully the storm brews up so they start mount now! Goodluck to everyone in the stand and be safe boys. The morning was fairly slow. About 9am, my nephew texted me to say he was moving to a different stand. At 10, got another text that said he just shot a doe. I tried to calm him down, saying stay up and I would be there in an hour. Roughly 10 min later, three does slipped past me without offering a shot. I used a Primos can to lure them back. A bigger doe passed my shooting lane before I could come to full draw. I stopped this youngster. She jumped the string and my arrow struck her in the spine. I got down and headed over to check on my nephew. I was really disappointed when I inspected his arrow. What he said was "lots of blood and hair" was a little hair, small pieces of meat and just steaks of blood on his vanes. We looked for two hours with the help of two other hunters and never found a single drop of blood. But I think he's hooked now!

    Nice work RB!

Hunted most of the weekend and did not see one deer. Still cannot believe that happened but that's why the call it hunting and not killing. Suppose to get some rain and cooler weather this week. Plan to hunt a few times this week so hopefully can get a deer down. Been getting plenty of old bucks on cameras but still are out during dark. Hopefully that'll change within the next month.

Hope everyone's doing good and hunting is going well

At about 6:20 I see 2 button bucks to my right in pretty thick woods looking right up at me. They start playing around an I thought I spooked them. Then momma for comes into about 5 yards in my only shooting lane and I smoke her right before it starts raining. By the time we all get back to the stand to start looking for her the rain had washed all the blood away. Takes us about 20 minutes and I eventually find her.
Perfect quartering away double lung heart shot.

Nice work guys! We are out front, love it! I will definitely get after a doe. I actually drew and extra antlerless tag this year ..which in Idaho isn't all that easy. :) My season always closes from Oct 1 to Oct 9 so I am almost back at it ... can't wait. Keep stacking them up guys!

Dave thanks for the feedback, I am driving out this year so I will definitely try to get over to at least VISIT! I will check on the Non res doe tag ..too ..he's only 10 years old, has his Bowhunters Safety Certification ....I was under the impression a Landowner could give out their Landowner tags to whom ever they choose too?
