Glad everyone is in. I just got into a small pool for biggest buck with $100 entry with some friends. This should push me a bit further. I’m competitive and don’t like losing, but wouldn’t mind losing to any of these people in group.

The weather has me thinking we are close to the best time of year. Usually get out west but not until next year. Friends just got out there today and hoping they have success.

Jensen, sounds like you’ve got the job.
    Team Names:

    Lethal Injection ( mentioned above)
    Whitetail Fanatic or Rack Fanatic
    Rack Attack
    Chasin Tail
    Tree stand Therapeutics

That took about a year off my life, told ya I wasn’t too creative. Where’s the ibuprofen.

I’m from Alabama but I’m fine with a Midwest name.

I’m for Jensen captain, and any of the team names are good with me. They’re all good.
Planning on heading out to check cams today. Probably will be last check and plan from there for opener next Saturday. Weather and patterns should still be on what they are now so will see how things look and keep it calm til then and hopefully send an arrow or two. So far hasn’t been anything big, but the mid size are beyond good for me, and would add in nice for our score. With the ones you guys have on cam we could really do some damage with a few of them and some does and smaller to fill in. Should be a good season and team. Early good luck to everyone

Alrighty then I will man the captain role. As for name Midwest Rack attack sounds pretty awesome - all the names sound pretty good actually. So as for captain it is my understanding that we are to, when entering a deer, make sure there are two photos, have your tackle (bow) in the picture, make sure the score is noted as well as the tackle that was used...anyone know what else I may be missing?? I did a card pull yesterday and I was underwhelmed to say the least...there was one buck that I would contemplate shooting probably 110inch. I am hoping that my honey hole on public will produce something larger but we'll have to wait and see. It seems like every since they implemented the cross tagging, and able to tag 3 bucks (bow, shotgun, muzzleloader) that the buck numbers have just dwindled around where I hunt. It also doesn't help that the DNR has done some air-raid like kills because the zone is CWD. Lord willing I'll catch up to a P&Y. Next weekend I have a buddy coming down and am super excited as it is his first year hunting. I'll be getting him set up in the XOP stand and I'll be chilling in my saddle (first year using this thing). The spot I am going to hugs tight to a corn field and for the past couple years I have had some pretty good bucks come out of this spot during Sept.-Oct., ideally I'll tag a doe and a buck within the first few days of the season but who knows. I just know I am pumped for the season to get underway!

15 days till season opener. Can’t wait. Probably calling off work. Just got done doing the biggest remerge. Completed 407 bay moves in 6 weeks. I’m ready for some tree time

Checked cams today. Same stuff. The injured spike didn’t show up again but a cool looking fork, and the midsize. I plan to go for the midsize or any cool racks to start, and if a few sits no luck then it’ll get more flexible.

Congrats to our new Team Captain and Rack Attack sounds good to me as a team name.

I did final prep clearing my entry/exit route to my stand. Just a few small bucks and a couple doe on cams. I'm happy with the cooler temps we've been having around here, it might get me in sooner rather than later.
