About had a doe last night, but my dad got out of his stand a little earlier after he shot a doe. Hope everyone is seeing some action out there if hunting. Lots of movement still here. Boiled buck skull last night and should be able to measure this week.
I usually post on LFTS but how 2 mature shooters 2 days in a row that I came to full draw on and they spooked before I could let it fly. 1st was on public 20yards away from me and 2nd was on my property from the ground 10 yards away Mathews HTR, Sword 5 pin, Truball release, Goldtip XT hunter 300, QAD 125 gr Swept, QAD rest
Dang man sorry to hear that. I shoulder shot a nice 6 pointer Monday morning tracked him for two days bumping him out of beds and stuff trying to get another arrow in him. Congrats again. He’s a nice one for sure. Rifle season just finished up. Didn’t get out much. Had some stuff come up and just didn’t work for timing. Hopefully gonna get out with bow again now. Congrats to everyone who’s been blessed enough to fill the freezer. I missed several opportunities on great bucks during the rut, and hunted myself into the ground. I’ve only been out a couple times since mid Nov. I don’t get on line much but I’ll get out a few more times before end of season, I’m not giving up. Good luck out there Illinois. And everyone else. I hate to say this has been the most useless weeks for hunting for me. Just been none. Only times I coulda, literally every one something came up to not get out. It’s truly just not the year I guess. Hope to get out at least one more sit. Only got til end of year.
