Sorry I havent been more active. I just got back from deployment and they had us doing the stupid reintergration stuff for 10 days straight. Oh well. I got out today trying to fill my either sex elk archery tag or my fall turkey tag, but no luck. And I happened to lose my quiver full of arrows. 6 Victory V3 arrows tipped with 2 blade bloodrunners. Just through a lot of money out the window, however this was probably the last year for those arrow anyways. Good luck to all of those whose season just opened up.

Well guys... I shot a doe tonight. I ended up pulling the shot and hitting her in the shoulder :/ I got about 3 inches of penetration and there was some sort of goo on my arrow. My Rage was all messed but She seemed ok after the shot. But I feel like crap right now :/

Hunter, keep it up. Did she pull the arrow out or did it fall out. Did she run away fine? Did she run with tail up or down?

She ran away with her tail up about 50 yards and continued to feed for the rest of the evening. The arrow just fell out.

Hey fellas, been out of pocket for a couple days just checking back in so yall don't think I've abandoned ship.

Hate that for you Conrad, at least she seemed to be okay. I hope that if I make a bad shot I clean miss.
Was that your first time taking a shot at a deer with a bow?

Best way that I have found to get camoed up on the cheap is oversized long sleeved tee shirts. I buy a size or two larger long sleeve tees on sale for like $7 and just put them over whatever I am wearing. Works great and it's cheap. I do the same with the pants. Buy em big and just wear them over my street clothes.
If you have the time I'd watch ebay. Lots of people selling 3-4 used shirts and pants for like $25. That'll keep you in camo for a few years.

If you give me your address and your ACTUAL clothing size. I'd be happy to send you an outfit (free of charge). I'm pretty certain I have something here that would fit you.

Got another Moultrie M-80XT today. I'll be hanging it out in a week or two. Also, I'm going to give some monster raxx a shot to see if it will at least stop something long enough for a shot by a camera or my Mathews! Can't wait to get into the stand!

I went down to my favorite hunting spot yesterday after alot of the timber has been cleared out, and does it look different. So much you don't notice with all the woods that become blatantly obvious after its cut. Gonna go do some serious looking around and planning later this evening and tomorrow. Glad to have to logging crews out of there so the deer can settle back down before season starts.

Good luck Red! I wish the temp would hurry up and drop here. We are still dealing with mid to upper 80s and upper 50s for the lows. At least the humidity has dropped.
