well guys i found a really nice buck now I just need to get him to show up in the daytime when I'm there. I just put the camera up and he's been at the scrape 10 days in a row I put a little buck urine in it to see if I can coax him out in daylight

hey guys sorry haven't been on much but that should change starting next week. First off sooo sorry for your families loss USFAN.
On a good team moment - way to go KS_archer and get us on the board, hopefully we'll start filling some tags. I got to go last sunday morning and managed to get my first turkey of the year now just one more to go. Also saw a 130'ish 9 pt at 60 yds that I'm glad didn't offer me a shot. It would have been hard to turn him down with the pressure of getting some points for the team, but I'm fairly optimistic since there's lots of season left that I'll catch up with one of the big-un's running around. Will check back more often as I get time to hunt (mostly weekends) and good luck to everyone.

Hey guys, I made a video of my Nebraska hunt. Unfortunately, the doe I shot last Friday slipped in right after my camera battery died. Anyways, I made a video of the rest of the footage. It's my first video ever so a little long and probably cheesy but hope you guys enjoy!

Well team I gotta admit. I am just confused. Seems like these deer are just totally random. I've been scouting and hunting quite a bit and can't come up with any discernible pattern. The normal deer trails seem to be abandoned. Scattered tracks all over the place. Going to move my stand AGAIN today and I honestly don't know where to put it. Almost feel like just plopping in the the center and hoping one decides to get close.

Now it looks like 20-30 mph winds for the next 4 days...

Well team I shot one of my target bucks for the year. He came in at 8 am on Saturday and gave me a chip 20 yard shot. As he was coming in I thought he was going to keep walking right into my shooting lane so I pull back and he stops to make a scrape. As I sit there for what seems like an eternity I had to let down. Then he makes another step and pull back again with everything I have. Again, he stops to make another scrape. I settle in the pin behind his shoulder and release...the arrow falls short. My cam, hit the back of my climber and shoots 5 yards shot but the buck does nothing. He acted like nothing happened. I nock another arrow and he starts to walk quartering away. I put the pin on him and realease and hit the mark. He bolts out into our NWSG and takes off with about 8 inches of arrow hanging out of him. I give him an hour and start to follow the faint blood trail. After 300 yards I bump him up. I elect to back out of there and give him time. I come back the next day with a friend and we again follow the trail. Blood was heavier now in spots and the arrow was found. I believe I got him through the liver and in one lung. This buck kept circling himself and eventually the blood stops. I believe his intestines are blocking the entry wound. Regardless, after looking all day yesterday we couldn't find him. I know he's dead but our woods are so thick and nasty that he really could be laying anywhere. This is my very first time I've lost a buck. I'm pretty sick to my stomach about it but I've been bowhunting for 15 years and this is my first that I've lost. Here are a few game camera pics of this guy.

Ugh so sorry man. It makes you sick when you lose one. Maybe you'll run across him in the next few days. What a stellar buck. Hope it turns around for you.

I'm headed to Kansas on Friday for 10 days. Hope I can add to the team points.

sorry to hear about your buck red, hopefully he turns up. I shot one 8 yrs ago that should have by all rights gone less than 100 yds by the look of the shot, never found him and the neighbor ending up shooting him during rifle. I didn't get to inspect him closely but in the pics you could see a large scare behind his schoulder. I still blame early mechanical's. On a better note went last weekend and saw a few small bucks and finally found a few scrapes opening up. Pulled all my camera cards and got a few new pics, you can check them out in my album "hit list 2012" in my profile. Won't get back out till this weekend so good luck to all till next time.

Oh man I am crying for you. Being able to stick a buck like that and then losing him sucks.

On another note. Got to skip out for just a couple hours last night. Deer activity is WAAAYYY up. Saw a total of 9 in 2 hours. None within range but at least they are moving.
