image10.JPG Lastly, who doesn't like a good set of twins? I have tons of photos of these guys. Will be pretty fun to watch them grow.

I also have one really nice buck on camera. He only gave me a very blurry walking away pic and hasn't showed up since. I'm not holding my breath but he would be a dandy to put down.

Things have been crazy around here. Busy resort, busy filming for a local promotional ad, getting materials together for work on a house my in-laws bought in town....

I'm hoping to spend some time this next week prepping for the season and filming a couple segments for the show. Might check a couple cameras in the next couple days to see if any hitlisters have shown up.

Oh yeah, and I leave for Wyoming to film Todd in 2 weeks! It's going to be October before I know it. :busted:

That is a very moving piece. Makes me think about the real reasons I hunt. Much more primal than filling the freezer.

Fitz, of all the people you demonstrate this more than anyone with your dedication. I would be willing to bet a lot of guys see more deer in one sit than you do all season. To maintain the drive when the going gets tough exemplifies a bowhunter.

Including the link for those that are Google deficient.

Thanks for the kind words guys! You have lots of time to think about why you hunt when you're busy not shooting bucks for 7 years :busted:

.... although I must say, I have a pretty good feeling about this Fall :tu:

I relive Why I Hunt every time I go into the woods. Sounds, smells, sights, experiences, people, animals, hunting stories. It all comes back the 1st sit. I have a tendency to get wrapped up in life , like everyone. so I kind of forget the details. Not necessarily forgotten, but foggy. It all comes back the 1st sit.
8 weeks and a flight and I'll remember again Why I Hunt. This year will create a whole new chapter in the book "Why I Hunt" . 57 years old and my 1st bow hunt. It should be a whole new set of memories. I hope the all of the emotions never stop coming back on the 1st sit. Actually my hope is my last sit will be just as gratifying as my first sit with a single shot 410 and my dad many years ago.

As odd as this sounds, I am a Steelers and Packers fan! Had a buddy play for the Packers so I had to be a fan!

I checked my cameras this weekend. Nothing great to report. One decent buck but nothing I am drooling over. Changed my camera locations up a little bit so maybe I'll have something in a few weeks when I check again.

Bucks from my uncle's property. Not big, but seeing I have not shot a buck with a bow in years I'd likely take either one.
