Hello everyone, Jim here checking in. I am from NY, I hunt mostly private property in New York, a combination of my own property and few places I have permission. But I do a lot of my hunting in the Midwest. This year I will be hunting friends farms in Western KY and West central Illinois. I am going moose hunting the end of sept and I will start deer hunting mid to late October. I plan on hunting whitetails about three weeks this year. Looking forward to participating with our team and I hope we all have a great season.
Seems like I remember your avatar name and you shooting a beautiful Caribou awhile back.?? Where will the Moose hunt be?
My name is Ty. I enjoy every second I get to be in a tree. I have loads of stress and the woods helps relieve it. I hunt small parcels in Indiana. Not the best places but I still put in lots of time. Let’s have some good times!
Yea that was me. My dad and I are hunting moose in Newfoundland this year. We drive from my house then take the ferry across. The camp fly into hunt is really cool, there are no motorized vehicles in allowed in the park so other then boats on the lake your doing a lot of walking. It’s a great hunt.
Checking in! Excited to get started I live in SE Louisiana. Hunt public in Illinois, private in Oklahoma, and public here in Louisiana.
Checking in guys. Looking forward to hearing of everyone’s successes. I live in the Fox Valley (WI). I have a farm me and some buddies lease in Grant County in the SW part of the state. I also have some acreage in Shawano County I will be hunting this year. Can’t wait to climb up in a tree!
Gotcha...parents have a cabin just off Spencer Lake outside of Waupaca. I am from north of Thorp and hunt mostly Clark, Eau Claire, Jackson, Trempealeau, Chippewa and Rusk counties. Sent from my SM-N986U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Hi guys, checking in! I live on a small farm in Charles County, Maryland. I have several other local farms to hunt. I also hunt on the Indian Head Navy Base, which has a restricted-access hunting program. I'm looking forward to hearing about everyone's adventures this season. My avatar is Ruby, she is a wirehaired dachshund who I retired two years ago from a long, wounded-deer tracking career. Good luck everyone! -fsh
Ruby came from a breeder in Pennsylvania, who bred her female with one of John Jeanneney's tracking dogs (John authored Tracking Dogs for Wounded Deer). Ruby is almost 14 and just cannot handle the rigors of tracking. I still have Amber, Ruby's 8 yr old niece, but I also had to retire myself from general deer tracking due to a bad knee. It's tough getting old, but I still enjoy getting up in the tree stand. -fsh
Checking in. I am Lloyd. I’m from Central Virginia. I also spend a week in Central Ohio the last week of October. Our season stars the first Saturday of October. Let’s do this. Headed to Ohio next week to put out cell cameras and do some treestand repair and tree trimmings.
