    Do you have any recollection of the ear position at or near the time of the shot? Was one forward and one facing the other direction or were they both forward? It would be kind of cool to recreate the last seconds of its life.

    Yeh, I think they were both pinned all the way back. He had his head high (stretched) looking back to see why his buddies didn't come with him. This so happened to be right behind me. He had circled around and walked back into me. Big mistake.... I am not all that fond of mounts where the ears are pinned all the way back.

    I feel pinned back is just a way to give the illusion that the buck is bigger. That buck didn't need help I would run then straight out at attention

    Agree with you Fix. Pinned all the way back makes me think the guy is trying to make the rack look bigger then it actually is. He was wide enough and the main beams came off pretty high before turning in.
