My last day consisted of getting blanked this morning, I tried still hunting through the marsh that I ended up tracking my buck through... also nothing. Then I drive around to a couple public chunks and glassed a few areas, again, nothing. Finally at last light I spotted a lone doe 160+ yards away in the neighbors field. Disappointing end to my season, but I did arrow my first buck this year so I'll consider this a win. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
Got a sinus infection and has gotten in the way of my hunt today. Plan on a few days next week if all goes well. Sent from my Lone Wolf treestand using Bowhunting.com Forums
I’m still getting over Flu A. Been almost 10 days now. I’m ready for it to leave. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I hate to say it but my season is slipping away. It has been a very weird year for hunting around here. There are always big bucks around our place and this year there weren't any. Not sure if the neighbor building is house right in the middle of the deer woods was the greatest thing either. No matter what I've had a blast with you guys!! Great group!! I'd like to keep in touch.
Sundown and 30 minutes has hit on the 2021-2022 deer season. I am only going to be able end with one doe this year. Sorry guys! We came out of the gate swinging, but came up short in the endurance. It was a great year though. We were in the race. Just a tough buck year. Sent from my Lone Wolf treestand using Bowhunting.com Forums
It was a fun year. We were definitely in the race for a long time. I'll certainly make this a yearly endeavor. It was good to get to know you guys throughout the season. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

Not really certain if that needed the translation, but thanks. I hope I, at least, met expectations. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

Exciting news at least for me anyway... Taxidermist started sending pics of my 2021 mount! Should be done within the next week! Hope everyone else is well. Getting ready to start walking a bunch for sheds. What has everyone else been up too?
VB (travel) has me booked up tight but I can wait, snow is almost at the level that I can shed hunt, maybe next weekend. Can't wait to see your monster heck Sent from my Pixel 6 using Tapatalk
Not sure about it being a monster but it should be a pretty mount being it was a early season harvest. Fix, do you turkey hunt? I hadn't seen very many turkeys all winter and now they are multiplying behind the house. Counted 23 birds in the bean field yesterday. One of which I am pretty sure is a beared hen. The toms should show up soon enough! I can't wait to blast some birds in da face!
I've already been scouting a few days during January and February. Plus I spent some time at the range shooting a rifle for the first time in 20+ years (my dads .243), bought a rifle (.300 win mag) for my upcoming Wyoming mule deer/pronghorn hunt in the fall and future elk hunts (I'll probably use the .243 for the goats). I also got my bow restrung and have spent some time shooting to make sure I'm still shooting straight. It's been a good beginning to the off season. When I come back from vacation in march, it'll be time for some quality shed hunting! Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
I hunt my @ss off for them but never actually get on birds. I have only killed 4 in 20yrs. 3 Jake's(not from state farm) and one trophy (which happened to be my first bird which in turn ruined it for me) Sent from my Pixel 6 using Tapatalk
I love hunting the sneaky little buggers. Our season is only 3 weeks in MO. More of a run and gun type than a set and wait approach. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I forgot, I'm also going to get in on the spring thunder this year on a buddies land that they've been wanting the flock diminished for a few years now. That should also be a good time! I haven't ever successfully hunted turkeys before. 5 years ago (or so) I tried with a bow. This year it'll be with a shotgun. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
Dang! I thought those things would be thick in your neck of the woods! KS has seen a major decline in in the last 5 plus years. They use to be everywhere!
