Yep opened up 15th of August. I was out Saturday last weekend but all I saw was a squirrel and a few cardinals. I took all my cameras down on my property so I'm just going in blind and enjoying my hunt.

Public land opens up on September 15th so that weekend I'm going to hit some public in hopes of getting a doe. It sucks that it's only buck right now.
here are a couple bucks I'm hoping to connect with. I'd really like my father-in-law to connect on the bigger buck who is currently residing on his property; he hasn't shot a buck in about 12 years so I'd be super happy for him to shoot that one. The smaller 10 is on public on a piece that gets hit pretty hard so who knows what will happen with that one. I'll be swapping between using my compound and recurve so we'll see what happens here this fall. I was planning on going to SD for a mule deer hunt but with work and daycare complications my pto bank has been running dwindling so I nixed that plan and will just stick to MN, which I'm hoping is fruitful as it was last fall! Will you guys be hitting public, private or both? My plan is to swap between the two, primarilynill hunt public until late October/November ad my inlaws property is only 80 acres.
