Ya I hear ya. I layed a big goose egg last year this the team. I better make up for it this year! So little about me for those of you that don't know: This is my 6th season bowhunting well hunting at all. I am an original member of this site and a transplant from that other unnamed site! Anyone familiar with the G2G and the friday night bonfire surely has heard about me! LOL I am from just northwest of Chicago and also have a house just across the WI/IL stateline. I mostly hunt public land but did manage to pick up a very promising private property spot for this season. Actually will be spending most of this upcoming weekend getting stands hung and doing more scouting but know the owner well and he assures me he has some bruisers on it! My cell for when you all knock down some monsters is: 847-436-2300. I love nothing more then getting text messages from everyone anytime an arrow passes through an animal! Feel free to text away! Oh one other note about me: If you read through the rules of this contest you may have noticed a rule called the "Fergie Clause" and yes that was created because of me 3 years ago. Long story that I would be happy to share if anyone doesn't know the story!

Any team with crik on it is in trouble. Just hope he doesn't lock himself in his bedroom for the entire season! He has been known to have trouble with doors! Plus he has FAT fingers!
I looked up HoytChick. She has never posted on this site and was signed up by someone else. I just sent her a PM and hope that she responds in the next few days. If she doesn't I will contact the person that signed her up and I know the only person they both have listed as a friend on the site so I can contact him by phone personally.
Don will be hunting the great state of Iowa, October 1 can't come soon enough for me. This will be my 3rd year bow hunting, missed a big body 8 my first year and haven't seen anything close since. But with all this flooding on the western side I'm sure they'll be out looking for new places to roam. My usual archery spot will be under water till next spring it looks like. Would love to hear the story as well...... cap'n

For those of you that are new to this contest Team 6 is the defending champions and they are the same team as last year because of this. They are also very obnoxious and think we are the team that will shut them up! LOL
You can be assured that the 8 you saw will not be your last. And I hope your right about the flooding pushing some mosters into your area. Do you have some new areas already lined up?

Trying to come up with a cool name with Bakers Dozen. Like Baker's Dozen Deer Slayers or something like that and could go by Team BDDS for short. Something that incorporates 13
Here are the two bucks on my hit list. These pictures are from the end of June. I don't have any updated pics bc i pulled my cams in spite of the heavy rains we've been having, but I'm sure they are still around. I'd like to get a shot at buck #2 he seems to be the older of the two and a 8 always looks better than a 7.
I've got a couple spots 30 miles north of where I live that I've hunted during muzzy season. Then there's an area 20 miles further north I've always wanted to try. These are all public ground, and I've never seen another hunter. Oh and I fat fingered my first post it was suppose to say .... Don here and I will be hunting the great state of Iowa Don
We don't use the term "fat finger" on this site unless you are referring to bloodcrik! Just an fyi! That is awesome that you have so much untouched public land withing driving distance. I hunt mostly public but most of my drives are hour or more. That is why I am really hoping this new private spot I got pans out!
