ehh.....another junk pull. Does, and the 8" spike. Looks like I'll have to wait for the rut for them to be moving through the section of my property that i hunt. I'm tempted to go deep, but i know it will eventually pay off if i stick to my plan.
Yea hopefully I knock that out of the, way like I did last year. Got one opening day. Sent from my SM-G900R4 using Tapatalk
The hunting in my neck of the woods (on the CT line) is the best on the state. I know of at least 4 bucks in the 120" class that frequent/live on my property, and i have seen one larger close to 140" about 100 yards away during the rut last season and once on trail cam. Where i live i am surrounded by non buildable wetlands, (not full fledge swamp) It's thick and nasty and most hunters avoid it. the guy behind me is a meat hunter, so i try not to push the swamp because he is on the other side waiting. I have plenty of Does, so a quick 50 points is coming the week of september 15th. I'm sticking to my guns and will wait till the rut for the bucks to come out of the swamp to the does
If the bucks would have stayed on there feeding schedule i would strongly disagree, theres nothing like taking an early september mature buck with the blonde patch of fur between his antlers! BUT.......this year they decided not to, so doe it is! my buck from last year 2 weeks before i shot him. Love the blonde fur patch and the velvet hanging down the right side of his head!
Hey guys...Checking in sorry for the delay...Was hunting and fishing in Ontario and just got back. Im trying to catch up on the thread. Hopefully I haven't been replaced yet?

Ok, So I think I am more or less caught up....I'm Stacy...Ill be hunting in Waushara County, WI (home of the Inda buck ) I have 10 acres on my property to hunt but typically hunt an 80 parcel nearby. Had five nice bucks last year on trail cam on the 10 acres, but I know that for sure 1 was harvested and Im pretty sure at least one was hit by a semi this spring. No military experience here (unless you count living with my Pops- ex Marine), but am a Lt for a sheriff's office. Saw someone had posted a pic of their K9 partner, very cool! Had two K9 partners myself, one is about to turn 14!
Actaully it turned out pretty darn good! Ended up with a 230 lb bear and a belly full of walleye plus limit for home! Ill be sure to check out team 3, thanks!
Area I'm going to scout out this weekend at the state forest, field on the left is WMA boundary and plan on looking for trails along Panther and Cowhead creek and find a good spot to see if I can catch them moving from the state forest over to the open fields.
One of the current bucks from a few weeks ago on the 10 acre area, and one of the confirmed road kills
