Don't worry about that, hunt they way you like. Good luck on your move to the big T, never been there.

Don't worry about it Schuls every one strikes out sometimes. I'm sure the hunting in Texas is going to be way better then AL so good for you! Start knocking on doors and see if you can score some private land. Hope all goes well on your move by the way and I hope to see you with a big buck in your hands next year if not this year.

Eh just sucks striking out three years in a row when just starting bowhunting. I won't give up though, one day it will all come together. I think after this season I'm done with these forums though.

It took me three seasons to finally get it done with a bow! I don't mean this in a bad way but why would you be done with the forums?

Certain people like Dan then the forum police who come running when they don't like your opinion and think we should all just agree with the OP and not post our own viewpoint when stupid things are posted. Almost no point responding to anything lately, and yes I can't stand Dan. I'm glad he is no longer an admin, he is an arrogant *** who thinks his views are always correct and puts himself on this highly "intelligent" pedestal.

Schuls there are some good mule deer areas on public land in Texas, a few exotics too. Where are you moving to again?

I don't really have much interaction with Dan so I cant say I agree or disagree with you, but there are some of those people on this site. A few of those people probably wouldn't say it in person but they have no problem doing it over the computer. You kinda have to wade through the BS (whatever you consider it to be) but as you know this site can be absolutely beautiful sometimes. I have noticed a huge increase in fights and just straight up attacks on people. I would prefer you to stay since I hate to see the site loose good guys, but I see where your coming from.

Sorry to hear about the accident JRK. Hope it didn't cause too much damage.

I didn't hear anything from Joe, hopefully he gets another chance at a big IL bruiser to complete his trip! I'll have to start networking and find other bowhunters when I get there and figure out where to hunt!

Sorry for any negativity gang, been a rough past month or so after losing Gus then stressing with this upcoming move. Thankfully I have renters lined up for the house, they move in the day after I leave! That lightens the stress monkey a little bit lol

Hopefully he does have another shot. And if you need a place to vent about anything, you could always vent here...we are good listeners. Moves can be extremely stressful, especially when its across state lines.

Good luck with the move Shuls...I understand the stress with losing Gus but not on the move since I've never had to move out of state. You'll get there and find some honeyhole to hunt and whack a giant next year. Took me 6 years to down my 1st with a bow...Maybe you should start a push to allow bowhunting on base, worth a shot. I know they open up Camp Ripley in northern MN to bowhunters.

Gonna try to get out Friday before the orange army hits the woods Sat morning

You can hunt on post at Hood but it's a lottery draw for a stand. You get put in a stand based on the draw, no picking and choosing your area. Yuck

Anybody getting out today? Wish I could. I have a 3 day weekend I was going to spend in the stand but can't stop coughing. Worst time of the year to get sick. Good luck out there.

Raining here, I know what you mean about the cough. Been battling one for about a month now, no sense sitting out and spooking all the deer
